Hey, got mine a couple weeks ago, but still cold here in Pensacola, FL to take it out. A couple pointers, you need trolling rods, usually 5.6 to 6ish ft long, your lure is fine, trying coupling it with a wire leader, you were probably trolling a bit faster, check the lure speed specs. Instead of live shrimp, hookup à sabiki and see if you can catch live bait and use any rod with fluocarbon leader and a treble to live bait it, preferably over a reef, in around 60ft water. How does the Camry hold up? Suspension and power ? I have a 2010 Honda Accord I was told this would be too weak and I would need a truck.

The Camry doing okay so far , it has up to 1000 pounds towing power , you should be fine with your Honda Accord towing a jet ski , just make sure to buy a lite weight jet ski trailer , you can also check your vehicle towing power in your manual .

Yes , 6 mph is the fastest trolling speed , you can definitely go down .

Lowest trolling speed is 1 or 2 MPH I think.

Rear mounted rod holders suck for trolling on a ski...add them up front where you can actually see them.

Curious? Why were u trolling so fast since you were fishing and not looking forward?

I have seen people having a problems with the IDF, however I use the IDF every time I ride and never had any problem with it. The IDF is a smart and great thing to have if you ride in a grassy water.

Yes if you born on or after January 1, 1988 and it is not a license, it is a boating safety education identification card .
