I recently got scammed for 100 $ of rust skins. I mostly trusted the guy because he had a lvl 100 steam account and he was also in a server I was playing on. I kind of scammed a collector. Its valves fault though. My item was a 1 in 10 and mostly worth what he paid me and then valve released something that made more of that item which caused it to drop from 600 usd to around 10 usd

I got scammed in the last week of 2020 just to end the year on a high note. Honestly I was just naive and stupid and if I had watched a video like this I wouldnt have been scammed. Also Valve doesnt do shit about this which makes me really mad. I and 5 of my friends reported him I sent the whole chat as well and In the chat it was „confirmed“ he didnt pay me and he still isnt trade banned. They just come to you with the copypasta response „wE cAnNoT dUpLicAtE sKiNs SorRy bRo“

I remember I got scammed when I was like 15 trading on tf2. Still think it was one of the more importent lessons I learnt with trading and steam items as a whole. Glad there's videos like this to make people aware of the dodgy side of steam. Plus its something that can absolutely be translated into everyday finances.

Every scammer I get is some level 10 dude asking for a plus1 for a tournament that doesn't exist.

Everytime he says “Hey! I’m Heyzeus!” In the beginning, his voice makes me picture a bespectacled skinny white dude with his right wrist cocked in a weird angle and his body being fidgety and jumpy as he says “hey” and “I’m heyzeus”

the scammers i get always go for the screenshots lol, i have about a 3,000$ TF2 inventory, and i try to build it more, and theres atleast 1 or 2 people a day who comment on the SAME screenshot asking "hello, i need to message you, i accidentally reported your account" and its always the same thing lol, fun to just mess around with them at that point, they always say the same exact thing and comment on the same screenshot lmao
