I've been on a Scrambler 1200XC since June of 2020 and have amassed just south of 30k miles. I live and commute in the desert southwest of the US, and I couldn't ask for a better machine for my needs. Being in the desert I frequently see 35-degree temperature swings, and one of the first things I did was install the Triumph accessory heated grips. They were worth every penny, and even a novice mechanic can install them with confidence. The reliability has been superlative. Additionally, I concur with your assessment of the headlights. Just this week I was able to procure the (now discontinued) auxiliary driving light kit from Triumph, and my hope is that it will improve the lighting when on low beams.
ОЧень хороший мотоцикл. Спасибо за видео. Удачи!
Aftermarket exhaust from the guy over in Newcastle is a no brainer. He has got a great reputation as he does good gear, he is honest, with great attention to detail and his prices are fair. He is called George.

i bought one a week ago and i love it as much as you. fantastic bike.
Thank you for honest review, it helps Sir!
Well... That really is a great all around bike! Loved your lane filtering with the banjo music!
The filtering, as they call it in the UK, looks to have saved him 3 hours in crap traffic. 😃
I agree... it's just the most beautiful bike out there, specially in green. I'm looking for one now, and this review made me want it more. Great job, thanks!

I'm currently driving a tiger 800xc (2013) and because of my long 36-inch inseam and price point for me its a great beginner bike, but this one would be the dream bike for me, looks absolutely stunning 👌 Thanks for the review!

OMG, I can't believe I stumbled on a full review of the very bike I've just reserved, I don't mean the same model, I mean that exact one. So @scotty_beast_rider should I buy it ? That lowside and the few red lines got me scratching my head I must admit. If you see that@@scotty_beast_rider let me know !
Very nice Scrambler!! I had one for 6 months and LOVED it! Same color as yours...Very reliable and I agree with you on the tires!! Seat was nice too!! Great review!!💚💚👍👍

Thank you - great review and very helpful. Looks like your low-side was related with the mud on the road, should always choose the dry path when possible or take it slow and careful.

Yep, have one too and love it. About the modes: if nothing else, they mean that you can keep yours in “sport” and folks who want a different map can use the other ones, or even the configurable “rider” - which makes a bike more versatile for all sorts of people, right? 👍🏻👍🏻

Dart make 3 different height screens for reasonable money. I got the middle size and it takes the wind off my chest
It's almost certainly going to be my next bike. I've currently got a Tiger Explorer but it really is too heavy for me, or indeed for anyone except the Hulk. My wife has a brand new T120 but it's a bit dinky for my 6ft frame, so Scrambler it is. We're hoping to move to the UK in '25 from our current home in Texas so I'll probably wait until then before pulling the pin. Nice review and filled with good info.
Loved your examples of riding! 😂

If you have a problem with wind in your face, for very little expense you could fit a small wind deflector to the top of your existing screen, they are adjustable so it's easy to suit different conditions.

@Luke hi, I got mine via EBay, some have a single point fixing and some have two pint fixing, I went with the single point because it is a bit more adjustable. I'm not shore of the make, probably from China but it dose the job well and it looks fine. Hope that helps.
The problem is the muds unavoidable if you're riding on the Welsh borders! I'm looking for something with more go than a crf250l for those kind of roads - and much worse - and currently this is the best choice. Flirting with the fantics and the tenere or 701 are just so tall.

@@scotty_beast_rider not having a screen on the xc is a bonus for me. I have a tracer for runs and to a man every one of these upright bikes have noisy screens at 70 and above. Financially they'll work out similar as I'll get a used xc. Believe me I'm no fan of triumphs as a brand but yes it's a looker and actually capable of some byways. Weight they're similar but the triumph feels a bit less top heavy to me
Ya sport mode is the only mode that I don't use. Rain mode is great, nice power delivery. With my ECU tune, sport mode is crazy, not needed.

After watching your video I see you are missing a MOD, I will send you one and see if you like it! 👍👍🤝🤝 The crash bars on the lower engine was smart as I didnt have any when I put mine on its side in the mud..... because of the tires...

Hey man, I love your videos and this bike. I'm very tempted. However I need your advice whether or not this bike is for me. This is a large displacement bike, and I know that displacement isn’t ‘entirely’ equal between bikes - it’s more about torque/HP curves and tuning. Therefore, I’m not convinced that this wouldn’t be a decent choice for what I’m looking for. I’m also looking at the speed twin in 1200. I know it’s the same engine. I'm not exactly a beginner. I rode mopeds for about 5 yrs when I was in my late teens. Always driven a manual car and recently got my US bike license. I haven’t owned a bike for years. I need a ‘one and done’ bike. I don’t have the luxury of trading up over time, so I'm asking you the following question. Could this be a 'one and done' bike? ie something I could use to gently get re-acquainted with riding, grow/learn at the same time, and never need anything else? I’ve sat on one in the dealership. I’m 5’9” 32-33 in leg. I can 90% flat foot it but I still may go for the low seat option. Please let me know what you think. Thanks again.

Honestly, this is a great bike for all levels. You can use the modes to make it less aggressive but it's more about the low end pull on this bike. I let my brother ride it and he only just passed his test. Very easy bike to ride. I'm only 5'8" with a 29" inseam so you will be more stable than me. Accessories for the Scrambler are limited and expensive. But if it's the bike you want... Then don't let anyone stop you.
Love this bike. I am seriously considering one. What is your luggage set up I couldn’t make out the name of the luggage rack you use 😀

I think this bike is great for first big bike if you have good experience of riding and if you are confident and take it easy... I think it's a great first bike 👍🏻 but as @MystifiedAphid said he has a good point... Getting your feet down as a learner is so much more comfortable for beginner riders👍🏻 Hope that helps But at the end of the day.... Buy what you love and take it easy to begin with 👍🏻
