I have the 2021 James Bond edition of this bike, and I love her. She’s Moneypenny. Because of course she is.

@@williambutler3630 The 007 loading screen is great 👍🏾 I watch it about 80 percent of the time, the other times I just cut it short and start the bike haha. I got it off it’s first owner at only 600 miles on it. He felt it was too short and heavy for him so getting it in and out of his garage was too annoying and he wanted to get another rare retro bike. I saw it at my dealership one day and simply asked for the owner’s phone number and he was willing to sell. Just pure luck.
I rode a Speed Twin about 4 years back with the 1200 in it and just loved the motor so when I found a used 1200 Scrambler XE Showcase Edition, used with 4.5 k miles, around 12k, I bought it. It’s the most fun bike I’ve owned. Simply a joy to ride, head turner, torque monster. The motor just comes alive from 3,500-5,000 rpm’s and stretches your arms. It came with Arrow exhaust and has a beautiful note. It’s everything a motorcycle should be: Fast, sexy, dangerous, fun and a bit loud. Get one!!!
Got mine a month ago and just came back from a 2500km on/off-road trip through the Alps. We’re still in the honeymoon period. Gorgeous bike
I got to ride the Scrambler 1200XE at IMS in 2021. Triumph was doing self guided demos. I must have rode that thing at least 7 or 8 times, even with the tons of other bikes there to ride. It really is a phenomenal motorcycle that I plan to own at some point.
Got to say...your observation and input are valued AND entertaining!! Thank you
Hey Yam, I have XC version & love it! Pro Tip: you can change modes with the mode button on left handle bar w/o having to navigate through the menu button. You can also change modes on the fly if the throttle is closed w/exception of off-road modes.
I used to own GS in many iterations, but nothing is cooler than the 1200 scrambler.. its quite eye catching and very entertaining bike..
Really appreciate this style of video for you Yam. beautiful bike
I hate simping for any brand but damn Triumph makes it hard not to.
Thanks for an informative review. It helped a lot in making my decision to get one of these bikes. I have my new XE on order, and should be taking delivery in about one month. Rock On
Bought a 1200xe a couple of weeks ago, feels way stronger and more composed suspension wise compared to the sled :) i am happy
I owned a street scrambler for a couple years. I loved it and you can leave the gas cap in the unlocked position which makes it much easier when refueling because you don’t need to use your key every time. Im not certain but i bet you can do the same thing on this bike as well.

I leave my XC unlocked all the time too. Took me a bit to figure that out though. 😂
I'm with you Yam! No wind protection!
I've got a Speed Twin 1200, and I love it.
I have the 1200XC gold line edition. I have three other motorcycles right now and they are all for sale. This is my forever bike. It does everything that want, and does it well, and I’m usually grinning like a Cheshire Cat as soon as I let the clutch out. I’ve taken it off road-nothing too serious, and there is still more bike there than there is talent between the handlebar and the seat. My only gripe is the part that attracted me in the first place, that high pipe gets a tad warm….. and by a tad, I mean badword hot at times.
I have a 1200 XE in my stable and it is one of my favorites to ride.
Yammie's boxes are in alignment with mine in this video. I could tell I would like this bike by 11:30. Actually, I knew I would like it after the HP/Torque ratio debriefing. 🙂
I love my triumph scrambler. Such a fun bike.
I've got the 22 XC, and it is such a great ride. Always smiling on this thing. All torque, but so smooth. And I agree, that joystick & mode selection is a pain.

I agree!! I love mine!
As far as styling, it's right up my alley.
Between the street triple and this one, you’ve now convinced me to buy this bike
I love the look of these bikes. I own a scrambler by a company called AJS if you’ve heard of Mike Jackson you’ll know about AJS. Mines only a 125 because of uk laws. Hands down the nicest bike I’ve ridden compared to other 125s can’t beat the torque of a scrambler
A buddy of mine ownes one and he loves it. I asked why I never see him riding it and he said it’s because it’s too hot in the summer. It summer 90% of the time in the south. Well, I guess he love looking at it.
Can't wait for you to review the new Triumph 400 bikes
Your having to much fun!! Love the video
Purrrfect engine. Triumph have a way of making all the components melt together and work effortlessly, and it starts with that torquey engine. It sounded beautiful as well, I always said all bikes should have no more than two cylinders. Saying that their triples are something else in terms of power and delivery, but as a fun bike they've nailed it with this setup. For really big distances the Tiger range works so well, with a lack of nervousness that you get with the V4 Multistrada, sorry Ducati.
Love this style of bike. Would love to upgrade to a triumph scrambler.
I have a 2022 speed twin and I love it
I love love love my naked sport/adv touring Scarmabler XE. I’m glad peeps like yourself is recognizing this bike. I wouldn’t be surprised if you pull the trigger on this puppy and sell the good ol’ Desert Sled, because as fun/interesting that bike is. It lacks some creature comforts that this Triumph provides at least to my eye. P.S. these 2022+ euro 5 models is a slip-on exhaust away from de-catting the bike. Hence eliminates a good amount of heat on your legs. I’m a fan of the Arrow exhaust with baffles in from the Triumph accessory catalogue. It’s a classic Arrow signature snark, yet comfortably livable on long distance tours!❤
Lovely sound!!!
General rule of thumb… if it’s a Triumph, it’s probably great

A little bit louder exhaust on these sounds amazing
Triumph is making some proper quality bikes these days. I have a T100 Bonneville and a new Tiger 900 Rally Pro Aragon.
Really good review-you know your stuff and you’re a good rider. Thank you!
One of my all time favourite bikes, aiming to get one to add to the stable when I can. Just keep an eye on the frame around the sidestand as it seems that a few people have experienced cracking there. I suggest that you do not mount cowboy style whilst on the sidestand.

I have the Steve McQueen bike and love it. You’re correct on the single track, just too heavy but that dog will eat in any other dirt. Stopped off reading with though because it’s just too nice too nice to drop. Agree with you on the wind but I added a Dart small screen just to keep the bugs out of all the wiring under the speedo. Had the service this week and the tech wouldn’t stop raving about this bike. First one he had rode and loved it.
That's unusual because rider modes on some other Triumph models can be changed while riding ... select the new mode, throttle off & pull in the clutch and it changes.
❤ well come 🎉
They could also add programmable favorite buttons for your 3 favorite riding modes that could be pressed quickly while moving.
who doesn't love watching a video full of accolades for the bike you ride! good stuff! bravo!

I am intrigued by the 1200XE. It seems that it ticks a lot of the boxes that my R nineT Scrambler does (albeit with better suspension on the Triumph).
I have a 2019 xe and it’s pretty awesome, have big plans for upgrades this next year
Sick. I want a black T100 with the speed twin 900 cast wheels.
I have the XC and I love it so so much 😚
I am into scramblers and the retro look so I do like this bike and enjoyed the review though I hate the keyless start and the electronics package nevertheless I think that there is one among those three triumphs that has fewer electronics anyway I think that you should try the other 2 as well.
Pretty close to a unicorn bike, love the way it looks too.
I saw someone at my work that was riding his from Texas to Newfoundland. I wanna do a big ride like that lol.
Nice bike I compared it to R9t and husqvarna and the Ducati scrambler !
The only thing I don't like about this bike is the exhaust pipe. Is just that I like when it goes around the body frame and not in a straight line from the engine to the tail. Other than that, the bike is great 👍

I think TFL did a comparison of the two bikes 👍
I like the scrambler style but because of the weight I think I'd chose the new 400 over the much heavier twins. The Fantic Caballero 700 (Yamaha CP2 engine, around 400lbs wet weight, 150mm Marzocchi suspension, and Brembo brakes) would perfectly satisfy my scrambler wants/needs but it unfortunately is currently forbidden fruit for the US market!

Yes it’s a scrambler but it’s very low, not suitable for off-roads like the 1200 XE which instead has incredible capabilities
We have a pair of 2023s. We installed lowering springs - adds cushion and better suspension for off road. The mode shifting can be done on the fly except for the off road and off road pro which have to be at a full stop because of the ABS and traction control. The tilting display is great for off road.
You should get some parts from Bunker Custom Cycles for this bike, they have awesome stuff.
Im between this and the yamaha xsr900.
You should do a review of the new scrambler 400x and the speed 400 of triumph! I for one think there wonderfull bikes. Bought myself a scrambler 400x
I really though this was the Triumph Speed 400 released in india by bajaj in the thumbnail. It is so compact!
I have a 13 year old Thunderbird and it's the best bike I have ever owned
@majordelays4909
10 ай бұрын
is it the only bike you have ever owned?
You can change the mode but you have to let go off the throttle.
Gotta get a windshield
How does the heat from the high exhaust pipe?
I have a theory about not being able to change road modes on the fly. It all comes down to the designer's choice of action movies. Do they like easy going fast action or more intense full action movies. Just picture any of these bikes in the next action movie and see what scene of suspense the bike adds to.

beautiful
From that type of riding and off road, the XC would suffice just as well it seems.
Great review, thanks. Where are you that you can go to the front of the lane at a stoplight? If I did that here in Washington I get run over.
Regarding why you can't choose off-road modes while riding - it's because they specifically turn off the ABS I'm pretty sure.
@christinez6871
9 ай бұрын
Yup. The ABS and traction control.
Forst of all kudos to you for your vids. Question: since I'd like to buy a scrambler for daily commute, road rides and occasional mild offroad and I'm pretty undecided between this one and your own Desert Sled, could you please help me with my choice by tellin more? Thanks, dude.
the desert sled is much more comfortable off-road and way lighter. I’d wait for a gen 2 desert sled, hopefully it will come equipped with a 21”.

that much cc might be useful on the autobahn, but around town and cross country, 'add lightness and simplicate.'

Pls review the Bajaj Dominar 400
so you prefer this over the tiger 660?
Goood Scrambler Triumph! Exaust "grill "...
Would this be a good commute bike?
PLEASE COMPARE this to the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro which weighs 50lbs less and has the same power and full Ohlins front and rear. It’s also air cooled and still makes the same power🤷🏽♂️. I rode mine in the Sierra Nevadas today, what a machine.

The xc has 2" more travel suspension. The xe has 4" more than the 1100 pro. Triumph 1200 is legit off road bike. Only the sled is equally off road worthy
The only thing keeping me from owning one of these is the price tag. And that is becoming less an issue by the day.
