Good practical advice as always, a tip on fitting after market centre stands. I had after market stand and engine bars fitted on my 1050 Tiger. My problem was the Dealer would not service my bike unless I removed the bars and or stand as required. Strange thing was at the time Triumph didn't make anything like a centre stand or engine bars at that time.

Interesting idea. I do have a bicycle and enjoy mountain bike riding. I find that it help with my Enduro riding - balance, weight shifting and fitness. However I dislike road riding on a bicycle.

@@SongsFromTheSaddle London is made for cycling😉so much love that gothic narrow streets less speed - more time for viewing but country roads are too narrow and do not feel safe, there is no roadside at all! 🤯

I have an Oxford paddock stand and used it to clean my chain on my ex SpeedTwin. I’m less confident using it on my xe. The xe side stand is extremely long and I’m worried about a drop when pushing the paddock stand down onto its bobbins on my own, even when I have lifted the bike more to the vertical with a piece of wood underneath the sidestand

I find the little wheels really help with this. It helps align the stand with the bobbins and to get the bike up on the stand. I lean the bike against my body when doing this

Use a front wheel chock stand to hold the bike upright while you position the paddock stand.

The XC stand will fit the XE but ain't long enough to lift the rear wheel....just have to carry a block of wood with you!

Would it not be possible to have extensions welded to the feet of the stand?

I Never buy a bike without a center stand. Spining the bike on a turnrable is a must. It is the main reason I don't buy Triumphs.
