I totaly agree with you about riverfishing! Last year I had one goal to catch a big pike from my local river in Denmark and on my third trip i caught my PB at just over 40 Ib.

Your channel is so underated i cant believe you havent blown up yet the content is unreal and its clear to see you are made for this cant wait to see what the rest of the session throws up

Good fishin. In my experience the next six weeks are the most interesting and productive long as not too cold, with the pike fishing Funny how leeches are mainly on pike..there are other fush with even less scale armour to protect them from being fastened on to. Tench for eg pretty much stuck to the bottom for last 4 months...

Nice session fished buddy. Also true what you say about certain periods before and after Christmas. I only blanked until last week. I had a nice 80+ pike and exactly at 5 p.m. a nice pike of 20 pounds and 1.05 meters. Good luck with the next sessions

The only bait I ever use is sardine , normally 4-6 inches long, any bait will catch big pike if there hungry they'll eat anything.

Hi,top angler,are you using a up trace with that rig.Is that 7 or 49 strand wire ,if 49 strands is there a big advantage, thanks in advance,trying to improve my angling

The only time I use uptrace is when I'm fishing the paternoster rig, and trace wire I normally use is coated wire in 28lb but on this occasion I was using 7 strand in 30lb.
