SUPER FREAKING COOL! I'm currently writing a research paper on spectral music, and after reading about this piece I just had to take a moment to listen to it. I love it, absolutely insane!

Good for you! Most people write the paper first then take a moment to listen to the primary material. i swear they do the same in philosophy and art criticism :) I look forward to the day when peace is declared between theory and practice!

It is cool. Not absolutely brilliant - a little gimmicky, a little hectic...among the French modernists he is probably my favorite. Manoury and Dusapin get on my nerves sometimes, who else is there? I like grisey and poisseur.

you mean Pousseur? He is Belgian. A younger Belgian is Fafchamps. Younger French are Jerôme Combier, Eric Montalbetti, Yann Robin, organ music and more by Thomas Lacôte, Yves Chauris, Philippe Leroux, Thierry Pécou, and not forgetting a grande dame: Betsy Jolas! And the grande dame for Belgium is Jacqueline Fontyn. etc :)
