Ойын-сауық

During our trip to the Brand New WWE UK Performance Center In London we had a chance to speak to the Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H, where he talks in length about why new signings to WWE go to NXT before they debut on the main roster, why it's important & why he thinks the PC should be used as a resource at every point of a Superstars career.

The ending of the video is so true where triple h mentioned that the fans changes. He pointed that wwe has to change constantly to keep the fans level up. That's what vince doesn't know. For example, the fans don't want roman but vince constantly drives him down our throat. Triple H would maybe give roman's reign character a change or put him in midcard for a while just to keep the fans satisfied. It's like we're not going to love this superstar forever. We are going to move on to someone else when they grab our attention. I loved braun strauman. Now I don't because he got boring. I moved on to seth rollins

The WWE has a hard time making the fans happy with Roman Reigns because what the fans perceive to be happening isn't happening. It's been almost 3 years since Roman was heavyweight champion and he was only Universal champion 63 days his first reign (less than 24 hours his second). He had a short intercontinental title reign and a short US title reign to add to that list too and a couple tag titles. And there are huge gaps between each title reign where Roman is on the hunt for gold but loses every time it matters. There have been NINE heavyweight champions since the last time Roman held the heavyweight championship. NINE! Nine people that are not Roman Reigns have held the belt since the last time he held it. The universal title is a joke belt that exists for no purpose other than... I don't even know what purpose it serves. 15 people that are not Roman have held the US title since the last time he held it. Five people have held the IC belt since the last time he held it. Where are they shoving Roman down our throats? How is a man that never fucking has gold around his waist being shoved down our throats? What do you want them to do with him? Fire him?

Everyone always writes Triple H off as "The guy who married the bosses Daughter." but he definitely see's a future for Professional Wrestling and Sports Entertainment, and is working to help build that and be a part of the change that needs to happen. NXT is a fantastic Wrestling show with a large Entertainment aspect and RAW & Smackdown! are great TV Shows with a large Wrestling aspect. They are different beasts in same cave and we need to stop comparing them and understand that both need one another to continue surviving. RAW needs Smackdown! to create this mystic of competition (although, this might change soon with AEW depending on how that grows), NXT needs RAW and Smackdown! because they bring in the money that makes NXT, 205Live & NXT:UK possible, RAW and Smackdown! need NXT to build stars whom will understand WWE as a platform and be able to enter the machine without grinding the gears. It's an ecosystem and you can even throw independent promotions such as ICW or PROGRESS or EVOLVE into that too as they have helped build NXT up and NXT in turn allows these promotions to book WWE stars. Wrestling 2019 peeps, great stuff! Can't wait for NXT:Japan, NXT:Europe and NXT:South America. They're coming folks!

I'm glad that there is a NXT here in the states and abroad because not that these stars need it (Finn Balor, Ricochet etc) but it gives like some sort of view on how the WWE works before hitting the main shows. There are very few men in wrestling that I could listen to for days on end and still not get enough of. This man is one of them. He makes some very valid points about how the new talent needs to learn the WWE way of doing things on and off camera. On a surface level, he makes it sound like as if he knows exactly what he's doing and what needs to be done, but when you look at the overall product ( raw, sd, nxt ), it doesn't always seem to translate. When you look at the new talent on the NXT roster getting insane pops while following the WWE formula, you keep telling yourself that it makes a ton of sense. But then they get to the main roster and something just seems to get lost in the suffle and what made the talent special then doesn't seem to work anymore. There's only so much blame to go around on the talent before you start seeing the patterns reoccur and take a deeper look at the other pats of the company itself.

Talking truth. You see the progression in character work from guys like Gargano and you know they fully benefited from the NXT system, same with Sami Zayn who spent years there. However there are also guys like Kevin Owens who barely spent any time there before hitting the main roster due to their natural promo ability and character building experience. Its a different road for everyone, even those who pretty much followed the same path like Zayn and Owens.

I’m intrigued as to whether the PC is teaching wrestlers to cut a promo in the traditional sense, ie off the cuff, or to cut a promo by reading pre-written words by a writing team. The latter is what we see 99% of the time on tv.

Like his character or not he's about 80percent right on everthing except the perception of what fans want changing. I still prefer the story drivin wrestling I grew up on. I'm sure alot of people are still preferring what made them fans first. There's a contingent of fans that watch NJPW that prefer that and no maker what theyre not going to get that in the WWE. HHH has to concentrate on how to keep his 80percent or so happy by keeping up the Performance Center then folowing up on his NXT grads so they don't get lost in the WWE shuffle. Also, helping Heyman and Bichoff from failing.

Trips makes sense but what he said isnt entirely true. Right now, the best male fued on Smackdown is Almas and Mysterio, they havent really needed promos. Their story between the ropes is enough. Not to mention a wrestler like Brock who doesnt have to connect because he has a manager.

What Hunter said is actually quite true. The biggest names in the WWE history, like Steve Austin, The Rock and Hogan were not that impressive in the ring. No one remembers them for their "great matches", but for their appearance and mic skills. Steve Austin had 473 matches. How many GOOD Austin matches can you name without using google?

Everyone in the comments disagreeing on a bunch of different things and trying to prove a point to be right but it’s not about being right here people. You can make your points on devit being able to cut promos or not or Vince not knowing anything anymore trips does or wwe is over produced and over saturated etc. whatever. The fact of the matter is this is a global brand now that caters and suites everybody differently. What you may like someone may not. For the most part they (Wwe execs) know what they’re doing and what’s going on the formula has worked for a while and if something doesn’t they go in the lab and try to change and tweak and get it right. It may take a few tries but that’s the beauty in the process. How many times in life has someone failed at nasa? Or any job but they don’t have a barrage of fans calling them idiots and they don’t know what they’re doing? It’s trial and error just as in life. When you fall you try your best to get back up right? Same thing with wwe think about it in a different perspective other than yours for a little and think how would you feel or do it differently. And if you think you can do better than what they’re doing apply for their position and try to do it yourself.
