Stone Cold Steve Austin planted a Rattlesnake backstage and threw Triple H in the room with it on Monday Night Raw. Now, Triple H shows up on SmackDown! with a giant snake bite on his face. He tells everyone that wrestling has changed and it’s not worth his life. Triple H is going to hand over the WWF Championship to Stone Cold and retire at the end of the night. Or is he brother… Also, Mick Foley convinced The Rock that Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection needed to have one final match before The Rock goes off on his big singles career. The Main Event is The Rock & Mankind vs The New Age Outlaws for the WWF Tag Team Titles. Chris Jericho fights Mr. Hughes, Jeff Jarrett gets ready for his “Good Housekeeping match” with Chyna, and the Terri Invitational Tournament continues with the Hardy Boyz vs Edge & Christian.

I watched Triple H be bitten by a snake live and went to school the next day. Nobody in my group of friends believed me that this happened on Raw because they all watched Nitro!

Nah, even as a kid i fully remember seeing the lights reflecting on the glass in the locker room with the snake. It looked awful. It's like the time the camera man walked around the box they were "filling with concrete" around Paul Bearer and you could see the compartment in the front that actually held the concrete.

@@Newbobdole with their production value I don't know why they don't pretape things like that or at least run through it and check the footage to look for mistakes like that. Like that was the biggest spot of the night and you couldn't do one run through to make sure it would look good on TV?

N64 was my favorite console. A lot of the games on it were amazing at the time but now do look so muddy it's hard for me to play. Vigilante 8 is a good example. But Road Rash 64 was tremendous fun.
@Deadlock I don't know how else to get in touch with you guys but I rediscovered some deep jericho girl-tron lore while watching an old episode of raw. On the october 26th episode of raw motley crüe performs with dx and the titan tron runs elements that would be repurposed for jericho's tron. Also I think it's the first appearance of test.

this was an awesome episode of smackdown the attitude era was such a crazy time period can't believe this took place 25-years ago it's really heen that long that triple h swerve was great.
Remember on Raw it was a triple man tag team match John Cena, Shawn Michaels & Hulk Hogan and At the end Shawn picked up hulks bandana and started wearing it 😂😅 that podcast episode would be dope !

we had a mindstorm thing at my school back in the day after school. it lasted three classes. last class was talking about what we're gonna do for the next class and promptly our school canceled that for whatever reason. really sucks because I thought that shit was the coolest thing ever and at the time I was already super interested in computers so that type of shit was great for me.

The funny thing is that I remember watching this in 99, on my shitty cathode ray TV, and you could definitely see the reflection of the plastic... and then they actually replayed it after telling us HHH had been bitten! I know it was 1999, but are you telling me they couldn't have edited out that glare before they replayed it? It was so bad and it made the "swerve" even dumber cuz we all knew he wasn't bitten lol
