So about the OvalTron discourse: The OvalTron is always on the opposite side of the hard cam. You're remembering right-side OvalTron because WWE always puts their hard cam to where the stage is on the left of the screen. Only when WWE puts the hard cam on the other end (I'm sure it's a logistics thing) is when we get left-side OvalTron and, therefore, the stage is on the right side of the TV screen.

the side of the smackdown ovaltron just depended on where the hard cam was, cus it had to be opposite and facing the hard cam. i imagine it depended on how the arena was setup. they seem to prefer the stage being to the left of the hard cam (so right side ovaltron) but back then they switched it up every so often for whatever reason.
