The Triple 8 Gotham helmet hasn’t been around for too long. I believe it was released in 2021, but everything about it is so Triple 8. Everything from the airflow vents to the subtle brim and Triple Eight-logo-shaped size adjustment dial on the back.
It’s sold in a bunch of colors, too. I really love the black rubber/black matte color of my helmet. The straps are good quality and adjustable, and the dial on the back stayed in place throughout my skate session.
You get two sweatsaver pads, a thinner set and a thicker one. These are for helmet fitment and sweat absorption. Using the thicker foam set made this 59-61cm helmet fit my 58cm perfectly.
The air vents are 11 in number. It worked reasonably well in warm weather, allowing a nice soft breeze in, but I still did sweat with some of it falling onto the ground.
In cool weather? The helmet trapped warm air in and kept my head pretty warm on a rather cool day. It performed noticeably better in cool weather than in warm weather.
For $75, I get a nice-looking, well-fitting, well-made, dual-certified skateboard helmet. And if you have a slightly bigger, rounder head, this might well be the best bet for you.
