Trinity is still my name - Opening scene

Ойын-сауық

Bambino tries to teach his brother Trinity how to become an outlaw, but the two wind up saving a pioneer family and breaking up an arms ring instead (IMDb)

All these years later and I’m still laughing, damn these movies were fun. The opening of this movie is forever etched into my mind even more so than the first film. The calm song combined with Trinity in an even more arid desert is iconic.

I've watched all the Trinity movie's at least a hundred times. My uncle Prentice was a huge fan and as a child he taught me how to handle a revolver. I was no more than 10 and could hit a beer can at 20 yds with a long Colt and keep it on the move for all six shots. I could never do all the trick shots like him, he was a true Showman. He could hit a quarter dollar after throwing it in the air and drawing with the same hand. He passed when I was only 17, and I still can't watch a western without thinking of him. He and his wife took me in after my mother passed when I was 9. He was 6' 4" and 245 LBS, and I shit you not looked just like the Bigfoot from Harry and the Henderson's ☺️. He was a carpenter by day and worked 12 hr nightshifts in the Eastern Kentucky coal mines. Drank a 12 pack every morning after his shift and yet I never saw him drunk once in my life. Attended Church every Sunday morning after working all night. taught me that some people take kindness for weakness, but not to let that keep me from helping others. I can't count the times he had me help him build porch steps or fix roof's for the elders in our community. Watched him pay out of pocket for materials and refuse payment from the folks he knew we're on a fixed income. He did this even while struggling to keep the bills paid and raise his own two girls and I. He seldom smiled unless his girls were loving on him or poking fun at him. However when we watched a Trinity movie he would laugh so loud it would startle the cat so it would run into the door trying to get outta the house. Now 43 with two girls and a boy of my own, I try to honor him by being a good neighbor and father. How I admire and miss that man........ Would love to plop my youngest down on his lap and watch him smile as he tickled her into submission. Respect and honor your elders folks, one day they will be gone and all we're left with is memories.

I have to agree with you. When these Spaghetti westerns were made in the 60s and 70s, the American audience were not interested. But it boomed in Europe. Mostly because the foreign Directors and Producers did a lot of historical research and produced better quality westerns than the Americans. So much so that they even used Sergio Leones movies in university given that he was able to replicate Civil war to excellent detail

I called my Australian Shepherd 'Ragpicker after Terence Hill, the dog was ugly but fast and loyal, when she gave me 8 puppies I delivered I was happy, she had one in her belly and I had put her down, I cried for two hours, loved that beautiful dog!

So sorry for your loss. Dogs can give us lots of joy and loyalty. Much more than we often get from our fellow partners, but often more than we deserved.

Beans were and are still a staple food in Mexico and South. How and why they got so popular in American Western Movies. I wonder. But them Beans, sure add to the flavor of these movies, for sure. Thanks Beans.
