Trinity - Poker scene (1972 Trinity Is Still My Name)

Комедия

Trucos simples de cámara, pero con buen gusto y mucha imaginación. Una joya de Terence Hill y Bud Spencer. De todos los personajes que hacían, Trinity siempre fue mi preferido.

Film really was well done back then, completely different from today. No dramatic music, no obvious indication of the trick being made. Just a silence and a poker game. Makes you feel like you are there in the room watching. Love it.

The cut is part of the humor, but as a card mechanic, he knows what his hand and all the others are without looking, a totally brilliant scene. Great characters. A great partnership, Terrance and Bud. Among the best western comedies. My favorite is Bud trying to teach stage robbery, a classic, and the acting of incredulity is perfect.

@@confirmhandle Have you ever seen one that really knew what he was doing? What is the worst hand in poker? Isn’t it a great hand that is second best? And I’ve watched a skilled one who dealt our hands each one a little better than the previous, and it was impossible to see how he was able to do it. So playing poker for money requires a great trust in those who touch the cards, doesn’t it? And remember that they may give you five winners before they clean you out, by luck?

Italian actors Terence Hill (born 1939) and Bud Spencer (1929-2016) made numerous films together. They "garnered world acclaim and attracted millions to theater seats". Hill and Spencer's birth names are Mario Girotti and Carlo Pedersoli, respectively. They first worked together in Hannibal (1959), but not as a duo. Most of their early films were "Spaghetti Westerns", beginning with God Forgives... I Don't! (1967), the first part of a trilogy, followed by Ace High (1968) and Boot Hill (1969). They Call Me Trinity (1970), its sequel, Trinity Is Still My Name (1971), and Troublemakers (1994), their last screen pairing, were in the same genre. In 2017, a video game inspired by their films, Bud Spencer & Terence Hill: Slaps and Beans, was released. Filmography Hannibal (1959) God Forgives... I Don't! Are you kidding? Your school made everyone watch movies instead of learning in the classroom? Another example of our declining education system. The only movies we ever watched in school (darn rare) were directly related to the classroom material.

@@robinstewart6510 The school I attended has consistently ranked high in education, year after year, compared to other districts in the state of Pennsylvania. It's not as if we spent half of our education watching movies, they were shown once in awhile as a reward for doing a great job. Before you come on here and blast someone for something you don't know about, take some time to think.

@@lendir1 .. Okay, I've taken "some time to think" and I'm still not impressed. Schools "consistently ranked high in education" are graduating students who can't read or write. As for something I "don't know about," I do know what you said and, absent more, can form some conclusions based on that. You say I'm wrong, fine. Have a nice day.

I used to watch my parents gamble as a kid with there friends. I had no idea what was going on but I wanted to play so bad. I would pester them every time they gambled. So one day they said ok you can play one hand and one hand only. If you win will allow you to play with us. This was the first time I even had an opportunity, i was so excited. I get my first 5 cards and immediately i had 4 aces. I didn't know what I had but I did know i had something really good. So when they asked me how many cards and I said none they thought I didnt understand I could turn cards in. They explained it to me and again i said no im good. You could see in there faces they assumed I still didn't get it. So i turned all the chips i had in ( what choice did I have) and everyone bowed out but my step dad. He smiled pushed his pile in and showed his cards. There was a chuckle from everyone I dont even remember what he had. I do know I chucked back because I still knew I had that bastrd licked. I set my cards down and the faces were priceless. They just kept there mouths open in shock and it was silent for so long. My step dads face turned a dark shade of red. Im cheering and giggling and reach to grab my pile, and those asses wouldn't let me take it. Worse yet I was still not allowed to play. I stood my ground and ended up grounded in my room all night lol.

The fourth ace was the fifth card because he left one card out for the possibility that the player with four 7s would change one card just in case, to fool the rest of the table that he didn't have such a strong hand.
