I have cried for days as tho he was family, friends. I am 72 female, play piano. I'm devastated 😢

I grew up with Burt Bacharach music, especially his collaborations with Dionne ❤️❤️ He was beautiful and so was his music!

Burt Bacharach's family and children express my deepest condolences. He was important in my youth, with his beauty, charisma, and sensitivity in his beautiful songs, which warmed our hearts. God keep him in his hands and we will pray for his soul. With love, Theresa Maria 🇧🇷💖🇧🇷

Burt doesn't look sick. He is just aging naturally. We get old, wrinkled, and the hump in our back. I still love him just the way he is.

@@arlenehotep381 you are spot on. my 95 y.o. mother passed a year ago and yeah she had dementia but i just click on that old cliche, "Patience is a Virtue" and then i give huge props to Elders who embody that other cliche, "With Age comes Wisdom."

Back around 1995 or so - Burt and Dionne performed at Westbury Music Hall - I took my wife and son -- we sat in the first row -- Burt stood at the piano, played and led the orchestra - during the performance Dionne approached me and sang a song to me, she was no more then two or three feet in front of me -- at first i felt embarrassed but then i told myself to enjoy the moment and i did -- never forgot that -- i am so happy my family and i can say we saw Burt in concert -- RIP BB

A giant! Burt is a true genius and his wonderful body of work speaks for itself as one of the best and most enduring collection of songs not only of the period from the 1960s to the 1980s, but of the whole 20th century. I've been listening to them and enjoying them immensely for more than 50 years and hope to do so for many more to come. May his memory be a blessing.

Just now discovering this vid, and, not unexpectedly, crying tears of joy. I fell in love with Trijntje's voice several years ago, and have bought everything in iTunes that I could find. No voice has ever impacted me emotionally to the extent that hers does, and that is after listening to top performers since the 50's. Trijntje is so versatile and capable of feeling every phrase she sings. Not since Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, and some others, has anyone been capable of interpreting the magical music of Burt Bacharach so wonderfully, and everything she does with other composers and arrangers is equally amazing. I most likely won't get to have my wish in this world, but I hope to sing with her in Heaven. I can imagine a million other performers feel the same way.

Very few composers and song writers understood as well as Burt Bacharach that the soul of the Singer is as important as the lyrics, melody and arrangement. He will always be in a Class of his own, the 'Minstrel' Class.

I always loved him and his music. She is quite amazing as well. So happy I came upon this. I wish life could just go one and on and no one passed away except for evils people.

This album for me is the most beautiful collection of music to be released in recent times. Burt has no equal in songwriting, Trijntje does simply the best Burt B covers ever. Add to that the faultless Vince Mendoza and the Metropole Orkest and you have musical perfection. Love them all.

Anyway, I am sad to see he is old. . . Don't go ever.Be with us forever.

I believe that Burt Bacharach composed & Hal David did the lyrics,, I'm sure that was not an easy task, but they've got A LOT of HUGE hit songs together, they've made my life nicer for those songs, I've listened to them since childhood, I use to hate it when my mom would start a.33 "record," but now I know what great music is, one of the MANY soundtracks of my OLD life..

@@steveterry4840 I agree with you, Steve. I thought Burt's album with Elvis Costello was great, and Trijntje covered several of them on her previous Bacharach albums. She really did the songs justice. "Painted from Memory," "God give me Strength" -- I just die! And "Love's Still the Answer" written with Tonio K is gorgeous!

You might like to check out Italian singer Karima's version of Every Other Hour, (Come In Ogni Ora), she has also worked with Mr. B. and recorded some others on her first album, which I think he produced.

Born in 1952 , piano player by ear since my teens , great fan of M Bacharach musical playing many of his songs , I get to know at this time ( March 2 , 2023 ) that he isn’t no more makes me feel very sad and sorry for his family and close friends. Thank you Burt for all the wonderful melodies you gave us.

I never heard of Oosterhuis. She has a beautiful voice, and it's so nice that Burt was able to work on a special project. Burt typified the optimism and glamour of the LA int he 1960s. Dionne Warwick sang most of Burt's songs. My first concert was at the Greek Theatre in LA where I saw Dionne Warwick. Great memories.

I didn't know he died, like so many of our country's greatest these past few years. Thanks for sharing this touching video. Best from America.

Ever since the first two Bacharach albums came out (So many great songs, but "(Love is) Still the Answer" always gets to me) I hoped and prayer for a third collaboration, wondering if it would ever happen. Well I just discovered it has, thanks to this video. I ordered it immediately and can't wait to hear it. I have several other of Trijntje's CDs and I must confess, I love her best when she sings Bacharach (Though she does excellent versions of Sting's "Fields of Gold" and "Fragile"). She was born to sing these songs, and it seems Burt feels the same way . The warmth of her voice, with just a touch of rasp, the range of emotions she conveys, the stunning orchestrations -- so beautiful. There are several Bacharach collections out there (Ron Isley did a good one), but Trijntje's have a special magic to them.

Your beautiful in so many ways, a ture gatekeeper for Burt's music. Thank you for being you!

Burt was the greatest, what a life ......

I'll certainly remember where I was when I heard of Burt's passing. I was stopped at a rest area near Hillsboro, Texas, on a road trip when I had my radio on 60s Gold. I was in the process of e-mailing Phlash Phelps with a shoutout from my phone, but I had to pause..........when he made the announcement about Burt's death.

I’d love to see her in concert. I’ve watched a lot of her material on KZread-wonderful voice. I saw Burt numerous times in concert-his music is timeless

Whilst BB's body was so visibly in decline, I suspect if someone asked him to write something memorable that day, he would have done it. So many artists TO included are indebted to him for giving them a song to sing and be remembered for. RIP
