Tricking the KickStand Sensor on Triump Scrambler 1200 XE
Note: This video was already on my prior "GoSolo" Channel. However, I wanted to start over; I felt the "Triumphant Adventures" better described what I'll be creating. Most of my travels are done on my Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE

Thanks so much for the support. I mainly do my travels on two wheels, but I hope to also do some four-wheel travel/camping as well :-) This is one of the things I love about Kevin's channel - so many awesome people are part of the community!
Great trick thanks!
Thanks! Mine actually broke up from being hit by a rock offroad (doing the NEBDR).. luckily it didnt completely fall so i was able to tape it back in place to the quickstand so it continue to work for my trip. Very informative video! Thanks! I think i will just either try to carry little magnet with me or maybe just glue a magnet to the sensor to permanently bypass it.. ill see

yeah - I keep a couple under the seat along with spare FOB batteries, etc.
thanks for the tip. Do you think there would be any battery drain if you had a magnet there permanently?

Hmm - I'm not really sure. I wouldn't think the bike is constantly checking to see if there's a magnet there. I would assume it only checks when you try to start. However, I'm not 100% sure.

@@twowheelsandathrottle not sure either. I wonder if having the magnets together completes a circuit. I presume this would mean power is flowing hence potential battery drain. I'm not an electrician though that's for sure.

@@d.Cog420 For sure - we'd probably need to get an actual like mechanic's input. But, I'd be surprised if any current actually flows due to that sensor being on/off. I bet it only checks when the bike is on (like when the dash is lit, etc.).
