Gumbo is one of my favorite dishes, although it's supposed to be served over rice and it traditionally has pork, shrimp, scallops, chicken, and okra in it. I don't eat pork anymore, so it's difficult to find good gumbo for me these days, and I also understand why the older gentleman wouldn't eat this version bc of the shrimp. The chicken module soup looked good, although different from what I normally see around here. Definitely an Asian vibe with those noodles. And you can't go wrong with simple tomato soup and grilled cheese. I tend to get "fancy" with my grilled cheeses by buttering the bread before toasting it on the stove and then using 2 or 3 different cheeses.

None of these soups looked anything like the real thing. All the tomato soup I've ever had has been smooth and creamy (but may have some tomato chunks in it) - not watered down with chopped onions in it. That didn't look appetizing at all. No wonder Mehboob said it was sour. And the chicken noodle soup looked more like ramen noodles. I've never seen any chicken noodle soup that looked like that. And don't even get me started on the gumbo. Another "Tribal Try" video recently served the same thing. In both cases, it wasn't even close to the real thing. I highly recommend researching these recipes before making them so they can have a more authentic experience.

Some of these are altered versions of N. American soups. Tomato soup is better when made with milk or cream and I have never had it with ginger....but grilled cheese sandwiches are great with it, in any case. We make ours with cheddar and sliced onion. The gumbo one, I would not know much about as it's more of a southern U.S. dish. Today I made a huge pot of turkey soup with carrots/celery/peas/corn/potatoes and I threw in some curry powder, salt, pepper, garlic, oregano, and other spices....my kids have eaten two bowls each already. Soup is just good comfort food. 😀 And a great way to use up Christmas leftovers. If I could, I'd invite them all over for soup and a bun, followed by a slice of pie with ice cream. Happy New Year! ❤️ From 🇨🇦

The color and flavors were weird. There was no sassafras at all. Chicken and sausage sould have been included and the color would have been darker if the roux was prepared correctly. Tomato soup does not include ginger. The chicken noodle soup should have had egg noodles, celery, carrots and seasoned chicken. I am a chef, so maybe my thoughts are different than what you can prepare there. But I enjoy seeing all my friends still here trying new things. Keep going.

Chicken soup is what we eat when we are sick some people add a small amount of lemon juice to the broth. I start with a whole chicken to make the broth. I put ginger onion garlic celery parsley carrots one whole lemon in it. after chicken is cooked broth is strained take meat off bones chop the bigger pieces add meat back in the broth and carrots. Add fresh onion, and celery you can add more carrot if you want to. Add sage rosemary and thyme. If the broth tastes weak add chicken bouillon until it tastes like good broth. Salt and black pepper to taste. When everything is boiling add your favorite noodles. Boil until noodles are done. Sprinkle with a little parsley. If you roast a chicken try to save the drippings add to broth after you remove the fat off the top. Save the fat and use in place of oil or grease when you fry potatoes.

Chicken soup is popular in America. We actually do make it more in winter, when people are sick as it soothes the throat, has vitamins, and can warm you up. I also enjoy a good beef chili with red kidney beans and onion, tomato soup, pea soup, beef stew. I never eat gumbo, that's more of a southern dish. Some of these soup recipes didn't look like they were made properly also. I recommend beef chili with kidney bean and onions with chili powder spices and tomato sauce. I also like white chili with chicken. Both are good winter soups.

My little bit of knowledge for anyone who would like to know ~ Gumbo is not actually soup but eaten mainly in southern America 😝 It's has a strong fish aroma and is an acquired taste ... the tomato soup is classic soup the original if I am correct & the Chicken noodle is not Chinese , the noodle possibly 😅 But I say the chicken broth was too dark and the Chicken meat was cut too big should be small chunks tender and juicy if made homemade ... All the Salt is good for sickness , but I would recommend it be seasoned by tase 😅 or you must stay hydrated ! I would like to recommend Italian wedding soup , mushroom soup & veggie soup ( Campbell's from the Can ~ I would highly recommend for full flavor if you can ... If it's a cream soup cook with milk instead of water ) if you can make from scratch ( homemade ) then I can recommend a light broth made from the chicken after it's been browned , season with your favorite veggies and enjoy 😋
