I don't think he lost any wages. He was put "on assignment" by the Dodgers, which would've let any other team in the MLB pick him up for probably league minimum, but none of the teams wanted the backlash from doing that, so in the end the Dodgers still have to pay his original contract out and he was free to go to Japan to continue pitching since obviously the Baystars aren't an MLB team. At least that's what I figured out from this all. If I'm wrong I'd love for someone to tell me.

Gets his guaranteed money, but any peformace and prodcution incentives are likely lost entirely as well as any endorsements etc he lost or will not be considered for going forward.

I can’t lie, I’m glad he lost millions of dollars from the past and definitely going forward. Not only is it very suspicious that he has multiple women accusing him of similar acts, including at least one before this false accusation, but he’s also a conspiracy theorist and I just can’t respect people who have the ability to get the correct information but don’t do so.

Now why can she get away with this and not face the same penalty as she would have had for the crimes she falsely accused him of? She needs to be put on trial at least and if they can prove that beyond a reasonable doubt, that she did this, she needs to face legal consequences.

I’ve been saying this for years.. false accusers should get as much, if not more prison time than the accused would get for the crimes they’re being accused of.. It really irritates me that women can do this and ruin a man’s life and reputation even if they’re completely innocent.. it’s actually more than irritating, it’s infuriating.

Prosecuting accusers, even false ones, is a slippery slope. It opens the door to many actually abused women running the risk of facing jail time when they try to come forward if the trial doesn't go as planned.

It is a slippery slope thus one we need to step up carefully. Fact is, the damage done to TB** will never be undone both personally and professionally. Unlike rape and assault victims who keep quiet for shame or fear and may feel as though no one will help or believe them, he will be attacked and ostracized by people ranging from his inner circle to complete strangers for something that he not only didn't do, but never happened at all. There has to be a punishment for destroying a person like that, when it can be proven that is was an intentional and malicious false accusation. **(Bauer is an imperfect vessel no doubt, given his unlikable, abrasive, and arrogant personality garnering him no support)

Not automatic, but they need to stand trial and face the same penalty of the crime that they accused the man of. This goes for all crimes. If someone is deliberately trying to get someone put away for something that never occured, they need to face similar penalties. This could be applied in cases where swat teams are called to people's houses that no crime occured.

She makes it sound like he settled because his chances of winning a civil trial weren't so great. No. He initiated the claim so he could get the evidence through discovery that her sleazy lawyers were withholding. They came back with a settlement offer asking for no money and to basically drop the case because they knew they were screwed.They were in such a bad bargaining position that he was able to negotiate the ability to speak about the case which is extremely rare, there's usually a confidentiality agreement. He wanted the evidence to prove she was lying and the ability to speak to clear his name. He got it. Then he settled. He was never going to get any money out of her. Proceeding with litigation would be pointless. She's now widely seen as a lying piece of crap, which she is.

If women know that they will face many years in prison for making false accusations just to ruin an innocent man’s life. Then we hopefully won’t see this happening so often. The fact that nothing ever happens to these disgusting women who lie, but the man’s life is completely destroyed, there’s definitely something wrong with our judicial system and it NEEDS to be changed! As a Japanese, I almost cry every time I see this news. But I don't know if these tears are about his suspicions being cleared or him possibly going back to the US. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed every day this past year because of him. Congratulations and thank you. I'll be rooting for you, even if you go back. Plus I think it’s gross that he would want to be so violent to a woman, even if it was consensual. I try not to overly judge people in their personal lives, but I can’t help but wondering what’s inside him that something pleasurable connected to violence in his mind.

He states he has spent more than he could ever get from her. So why continue? He got railroaded. Those texts she sent about getting his money are disgusting. If LA county thought they could win ANY criminal case against him they would have proceeded.

Personally I think Bauer should be suing the MLB for deformation but that would ultimately wreck his career. It's a double edges sword. All we can hope for is that he gets his career back and is exonerated public. It won't be the first time a man has been wrongly accused and has the swollow this woke planets new agenda.

This lady makes some interesting points but she avoided mentioning the premeditation on Lindsay's behalf that was shown through the texts. Pretty damning for Lindsey's case, and I don't see how it doesn't warrant charges of extortion.

So she, alongside Police, tried to entrap him? I imagine it was done with the MLB directive at this point. Also, trying to affirm the woman in that conversation and trying to use it as evidence is such a joke. Can't see how that would be admissible. I had a woman have a conversation with me when I was young where she said I had "hit" her and I tried to be nice and not call her a liar because I was trying to date her and loved her. I was with her for 7 years. But the reality was we were lying in bed in the dark, I sat up, and she then sat up and hit her head on the back of my elbow. And somehow that was my fault. Women are really ridiculous sometimes.

The fact all this information wasn't shared and out there a LONG time before any "trial" and when the actual allegations get made.

I blame the men in powerful political positions who see what is happening but do nothing about it. If you falsely accuse someone of SH/ or SA and it is proven that you lied, you should get life in prison or face the death penalty. Very harsh punishments deter people from doing this sort of acts.
