Whole justice system is so bullshit, I’m super pro crime but all courts go off stories instead of fact. Why we have discrimination in the court why women can’t charge their abuser if he has connections. Which work other way around for men like Bauer who get accused but since stories beat the facts he gets punished.

For him to be falsely accused, ruin his career that he eats, breathes and loves. I have no words for what he must have been going through. As a law student, I got curious at one point and did some looking into the Bauer cases (just publicly available pleadings and whatnot, nothing fancy) and was immediately skeptical. You are right she should be jailed, not sued. it’s disgusting that Trevor was blackballed because of the accusations, while guys with publicly witnessed assaults get suspended and go back to playing in the majors. It isn’t because of morals or the severity of the accusations; it’s because Bauer was affecting the MLB brand and bottom line when he became vocal about sticky stuff. When the accusations came out, MLB had a reason to get rid of him that was nearly impossible to argue against in our current social climate. Women who are worried that they won’t be believed are less likely to report incidents of assault. This woman and anyone who contributes to that fear of seeking justice with false accusations should face criminal charges.

Rosenthal is the reason this escalated like it did. Rosenthal is also the one who knew the Astros cheated in 2017 yet held the story til 2 weeks after the 2019 World Series. It wa Manfred’s old dopey ass, Bauer had been dunking on him for years. It wasn’t til Bauer called out the exploitative “journalism” Of Rosenthal who never parroted Bauer’s call for upholding the rules of sticky stuff for pitchers, and when his decade long campaign failed he decided he could do it too. You hit the nail on the head in the last few mins of the video. This isn't just about Trevor. It's about all of us men. It happened to me a few years ago. If I learned one thing in my experience, "I want my lawyer," is the only thing you should ever say to the police.

The interesting thing is Japan absolutely loves Trevor Bauer. Not just as a pitcher and youtuber, but also as a person. Contrary to the pre-season reputations, he's been super respectful towards Japan in general and he's possibly the most enthusiastic player in the Baystars. His attitude and fan service towards the people are awesome, and we want him to stay for as long as possible. In any case, we're glad he was able to somewhat clear his name.

I don’t know about being super respectful - there was that teammate of his who publicly stated he didn’t like Bauer doing the Sword and wanting fans to do it with him. I’m sure they cleared things up afterward but I still think he is a jerk, even if he’s generally good-natured most times. The League office used it as an excuse to remove the lone player who had the balls to make the league's hypocrisy on "sticky stuff" blatantly obvious to everyone via his KZread/Twitter videos. The Commissioner hated him and he ensured that no one picked up Bauer after the Dodgers released him.

It was pretty clear that he was innocent long ago, yet MLB and Dodgers still threw him out the door.

Whether he did anything or not I will still respect him as someone who helped me improve through the hours and hours he’s put into helping train the next generation I gained nearly 30 mph in slightly less than a year, if Bauer watches this and looks in the comments, thanks man

I remember some journalist on twitter said that she (that journalist) downloaded the files from the court website and other twitter users had a discussion about it. Everything Trevor said in his recent video was in those docs (except for the fact that he settled the case, obviously). I was able to dig up some tweets, but youtube deletes my comment because of the links to those tweets in it. The date those tweets were published in August 21th, 2021. So yeah, I'm just shocked that everybody just chose not to report it at the time.

She belongs in prison for what she did. He loses his career and she gets away with it.

Ive been saying it for 2 years... And ive seen so much damage done in my job as a Police Officer... Protective orders might be the most abused piece of our legal system ... They are civil fillings that have the weight of criminal law and yet they dont require PC... They are very dangerous and easliy misused and abused by those with no sense of shame or justice ... Most people would be shocked to find out how easliy some one could make up charges on you at the court commisioners office or file a BS protective order... And while Bauer went through this hell... Marcel Ozuna was observed on police body cam choking out his wife and he served a bs suspension and played in the same season and is still playing on the braves ... Im so sick of our upside down world and my faith in human decentcy has all but collapsed ...

I feel like if you were paying attention it was obvious from the beginning that he was innocent

Facts. My friend texted me the other day and said I called it. The story was bs from the beginning and only used as fuel to black list the man from the mlb, and I could care less about him as a player.

Unfortunately for Bauer when he was accused was right when toxic men were starting to become the most hated men in existence and so nobody in mlb wanted to bet on the possibility he wasn’t innocent. It’s a shame but I’m happy he got his vindicated

It's going to get to the point where we don't believe ANY of these women. It's a shame for the women that actually suffer abuse.

Both women need to be thrown in jail for a log time. MLB needs a new commissioner more than ever.

There are a lot of assholes in sports that have actually been charged for worse things and yet there playing.

If one read up on Bauer's case it was extremely obvious that he was harshly and unjustly painted in a bad light due to the social climate of America at the time. Not only was he bound to lose in the court of public opinion but no one in the league was gonna stick up for him either. Unfortunately he rubbed too many players in the wrong way due to his extreme competitiveness and antics but even worse he called out MLB on it allowing pitchers to cheat.

Yea, if only he was something more respectable like a wife beater(Ozuna or Urias), he would have just been given a slap on the wrist. It was easy to see early on, his beef with Manfred was the main reason mlb gave him a huge suspension. Less evidence of wrong doing than a lot of other off the field issues yet he got a record suspension. Glad he has finally shown he was innocent, wish she ended up in prison but I guess it's not a perfect world.

The main reason for his suspension in my eyes is how hated he was by everyone in baseball. When he was accused of assault, that was the last straw. Whether or not he was guilty doesn’t matter, but when he was accused everyone just collectively decided to kick him out of the league because of how much of a jerk he was

You can't say everyone. Baseball and Sports are full of talented assholes. Bauer is blackballed because he exposed the cheating scandal, and MLB decided that rather than clean up the sport, they would silence one man.

Yeah, the teammates not standing up for him was the real downer. Teams and the league have to be super conservative. I get that. Once it was wrapped and she was found to be a bag chaser the teams and the league should have done right by Trevor. That they have not says a lot about the league being bullies via an undercover blackball campaign. Japan wins in the end. Trevor makes more money, plays fewer games and really wins in the end.

Bauer's media company, his beef with Manfred, and his personality of being himself/not a sheep had EVERYTHING to do with his suspension.

I knew she was lying the whole time and yet they made Bauer to be this horrible person. I hate it when women make false accusations either out of spite, to get money or they don't get their way. Bauer should pursue legal actions against her and possible criminal charges for false accusations

Defamation has a 1 year statute of limitations from the day the original accusations were made. Even if it is within the timeframe, good luck finding a da and judge to agree with moving forward

I firmly believe that every convicted criminal should be punished to the same level as the victim. Falsely accusing someone of a crime should be treated as every bit as heinous as the potential punishment the accused would have been subjected to.

There has to be SOMETHING illegal about putting out an album like that.

The MLB need to publicly apologize and acknowledge that he is innocent they publicly criticized him before the court case even started

Its a shame that hes made enemies in baseball his entire career all the way from middle school (where he first learned about sticky stuff) to the top of the organization (actively calling out MLB for sticky stuff). These SA allegations were always bogus and knew were going to be cleared. The damage has already been done. He'll never play in MLB again. That being said Japan is AWESOME and he's got a genuine shot at going down as one of the best foreign players to ever play there. Not the worst second place prize 😂

false accusations should carry the same penalty if proven to Be false. Probably even worse penalties. That would stop many false accusations.

@@josieclarke460 While I agree on the sentiment, I think it's going to bring a double edge sword. If assault happens and there's no way to prove it, or can be easily disputed, it's not worth taking the assaulter to court.

yea but I'm saying if there is real evidence that accusations are malicious. Not "if your attacker gets off free you go to prison". It would have to only be clear cut cases with real proof. Or whatever is considered concrete evidence in any court. @@Memorex996

I appriciate that you always stuck to the facts without opinion and weighed both sides. Many other host did not and said if he's guilty they would condemn. It takes alot of character to let the process play out.

Shame on MLB, media and all those that judged him. MLB knew ... every MLB team knew! This was created because he blew the whistle on sticky stuff and MLB wasn't gonna allow him to continue.

If a person definitively makes a false report against someone (e.g., assault or rape), that person should be subject to the same penalty/consequences that the charge carries.

It’s unrealistic to sue the team for not extending the contract but the MLB’s independent investigation as well as the union’s role in that whole process should be evaluated.

Agree. Maybe the happy medium is to suspend pay until legalities play out and if no one is found guilty then release the lost pay to the player and forge ahead? MLB should not be a jury. Private investigations by the league in the case were biased and built on unproven allegations.

EVERY SINGLE SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS want to dictate what the Athletes can do and say. He was guilty of being a thorn in the side of MLB. It was never about her. She was the excuse to get rid of him.

Everybody owes that boy a huge apology. I never stopped being a fan or doubted him. I've been watching his career in Japan and trying to support him as much as possible. There is no way he could have done the things they said without filing charges and following it through. He was just not the most popular player with the league and his team. Outspoken I believe one would say. But the fact is most of the things he said were true. He trained differently so the training staff hated him. He but the fact that you rub people the wrong way doesn't mean you should be hung out to dry. By the league and the union. Then the MLB basically blackballed him and no other team touched him which would have been impossible with the lack of elite pitching up for hire in the league and the desperation of teams. Well that's collusion and that's illegal. I hope he sues them.

@@brandocalrissian3294 as far as I know those other claims smelled fishy too. IE they were somehow connected to her. After I heard that I haven't heard anything about them since. I think he should have laid charges too and still may but I m not sure. I think the whole reason he dropped his case against her was that the agreed if he did they wouldn't try to go after him for making the evidence public and at that point he just wanted to clear his name and prove that not only was there no wrong doing on his part but also show it was her plan from the start. It wasn't like she had millions of dollars to pay damages anyways. But I think even if she did he would drop it just to prove his innocence. Poor guy got screwed hard...

This is why there needs to be criminal repercussions against someone who falsely accuses someone of a crime; like rape or assault. The person who levels completely false and fabricated accusations against someone in the court of law should be doing held criminally responsible.

She tried to ruin him and she failed. He's been pitching very well in Japan, not sure if he'll be in the MLB again but he deserves a chance. MLB front office had it out for him after all the Spider-Tac stuff.

Been saying this here, and everywhere from day one… And I keep having to hear clowns make excuses for why this man deserves to be attacked for something he didn’t do.
