I appreciate the time taken to avoid leaving divots all over the neighbors yard. Details matter! Hello from Minnesota
A lot of customers don’t realize how much brush is in a tree until it hits the ground. A lot of things effect the price in my area, like if I’ve got to haul it off or chip it and not all big wood is useable for fire wood 🪵 sometimes. Liability is another factor when a tree is close to the house or other things. Stumps are usually extra. Nice job on the birch 🌳 Tree work is hard work but I can truly say I love it! Much respect to all the tree guys out there getting it done! 👍🏻✌🏻

I love me some tree/WOOD ENGINEERING! Excellent job! You gentlemen are very fast& so tidy! Impressive! Your safety standards set the bar high too. Just Masterfully performed!
Love his set up super efficient, big $$ in trees
Sweet video 👍🏼 Never seen this process before
LOL ever heard of a 5 to 1? Coulda falled every single one of those leads and been done in half the time. River birch will absolutely NEVER break off the hinge wood if you know what you’re doing. Good stuff I suppose boys but you got some learnin to do 😮💨

Great vidya. I was taught by a union lineman to always lock my knees out when climbing with spurs. Supposedly reduces the likelihood of tear out.

Another technique that can come in handy is cinching your climb line around the trunk and advancing it up with your lanyard if ascending on spurs. That way if you do gaff out or slip the climb line will tighten and prevent you from sliding down the trunk. There’s also ways you can do something similar with just a lanyard.

Keith, do I need a city permit do cut down a tree? I own a landscaping company. Please advise, I’m a beginner! Thanks!

It’s birch! Hinge those steps over towards the chipper. It will hold.
Glad you got the job. Guys will do that for 600 around here unfortunately. Not me.

The sawzall video to remove a stump was good. Probably great for you business as it’s a homeowners aesthetic fix. But the roots will remain and will forever be a problem because that space can’t be utilized for growing other plants over. There is an insanely easy cheap way to get rid of a stump and ALL OF ITS ROOTS til kingdom come. How has nobody in your industry capitalized on it or figured it out.
Do that with a silky in an hour.
How about the lawn mower with a grapple on the front!🤣
I didn't notice did you remove the stump for that price?

Yup that’s 600$ tree here in northern New York State if we are 🍀 😢

Is that a lawn mower turned into a mini skid? What a sweet little set up. What’s the brand name of that skid? Thank you much.
Climbing trees should be a high paying job and then throw that equipment in there with it you should easily be able to make 5 grand A-day if you can stay busy
I don’t see how it’s 1800$ I wouldn’t be able to get that price for that tree herein New York state😢😢😢
Man I'm all for making a quick buck and people have the choice to choose if they want to take your quote too, but it seems like Noone realizes the value in building relationships and references so their businesses carry on forever anymore, this tree would've taken me an hour to cut into log sized chunks that would've sold for around $400-500 in firewood and $1000 would've been a perfectly fine wage... but like I said they can pay whatever they choose
What a beautiful river birch, RIP

@TheBushcraftontario

I know eh! It's always bigger in real life. Looks like 25 to 30 feet high Seriously though since I got an extended Stihl pole pruner I can cut tall branchy trees down like never before. 20 to 30 feet tall np. The only way it works is when combined with an aluminum scaffold because I can get the angle just right. (Well most of the time anyways) It's much safer then climbing, especially a risky birch.

Arborists preform many other tree services beside a removal and often sell a yearly tree health care regimen of treatments. If you're good at what you do, you'll be busy, our local arborist is booked over a year in the future.

@@ryobrown-mcclain805 true that. Just say overall its sad cutting down a tree.
I would have just put a rope in it and cut it small tree for two hours more like an hour climb if that I mean he cut the stem his climb line was on and still had the one over the house i mean come man but every one has off days so not going judge to much it was a rookie mistake

@@fumagoo1986 you also need to account for economy pricing. A birch removal in Oklahoma is going to be cheaper than a birch removal in Washington. Fuel prices differ; housing expenses differ; wages differ; taxes differ.
