What if a really bad storm were to happen? That could happen anywhere you know, doesn't seem so safe to have no foundation with strong winds of any sort.

It is a magical place. It’s very difficult to describe a feeling and especially in this instance. It wouldn’t have been as profound without Charles’ special stories. He gave us a very intimate sneak peak into his family’s “home”.

Iv been there . And it should have paid for itself , because they charge to walk through it ! So basically it was a Free treehouse, after about a year or two !! But it's Nice ! And I would like to stay there on the off season , if there is a off season ! A very Popular Park !!

Trees in general have many insect colonies that they support. What do you use to control the insects because I see you have exposed limbs inside.

In tropical climates insects are pretty common. Although we can't comment on what is used to control pests in this tree house, I can say that I still occasionally get insects in my condo in downtown Montreal.

I accidentally bumped into the owner of this place while paddling the suwannee, and if you look at the spots on the floor where the tree meets the plywood and rope panels, the plywood eats up most of the space and the rope eats up the gap without digging into the bark. The bigger concern was touristy folks poking around the property when no one was around, hence the big gate that'd be hard to climb around.

It has already weathered quite a few storms. It is surrounded by trees so that should help to protect it.

It's definitely a great tree house but how much did it cost to build and how much more would it cost to make it a viable home? I suspect to make it a livable year round residence it likely would cost more than than a house with 2 or 3 times the living space. That's the problem with these alternative living spaces whether it's a tree house or a tiny home, they're cute sure, but they tend to cost more per footage than a normal home. The cheap ones are ones people build themselves and most of us aren't pioneers and couldn't build one structurally sound if our life depended on it.
