My dad taught me how to build a truck, we built my 02 Duramax Dually together. In time I fully intend to buy him a 1995-2002 Ford F-350 Extended Cab 7.3 powerstroke that I plan to build for him. Out of all 3 of us sons I was the only one to follow him into the Diesel mechanic field. I can’t wait to, in 6 months me and him are putting our heads together to finance a lot of land, build a couple houses and build a shop together where we can rebuild trucks. Nothing satisfies me more when someone says “it’ll never run” “its a piece of junk” and then taking said POS and turning it into a 30k working rig all built in house. I have him to thank for the ability to understand what thats like. I have had many shop Foremans, but I only have 1 mentor.
