November 13, 2023 Greetings Good Living Alaska; I just finished binge watching your 8 post with much delight. I would like to recommend that you create a play list of all of your videos so that it is easier for a new person to watch them all in order. My parents moved to Anchorage in 1946 when I was 2 (like Harrison). My brother and sister were born in Anchorage. We lived there until 1962 when I joined the USAF. I can imagine my parents moving with a little baby and all of the struggles and difficulties of the times. I now live in the Veterans home in California. I would like to introduce you to some of my You Tube friends who are like-minded. First is "Home Free Alaska". And the other is Holladay Homestead who just moved to Homer (I think) 3 or 4 months ago and are raising 4 very young boys. Both of these families are home-schooling there kids and I’m sure could be much help to you. May God bless you and give you strength and wisdom. Bill Patton

Try to stock up on staples your family normally uses like rice, beans, canned goods. With flour and yeast you can make your own bread. That way you don't need to go out in those treacherous roads so often, especially with your little one! You'll also save money in these days.

Glad you choose to share your journey on YT. You are surrounded by some good families that have done well with what they face. Hope you have a generator and always have fuel. Eco Flow run specials and occasionally will sponsor a vlog. Please consider when 50% off. They are life savers year round and depending on model powerhouses. I know you are new filming, too pretty for the light to go dark on your eyes. Realize you might be relying on your phone over a camera and Costco lighting is never kind wearing makeup. Sherry w this Alaskan life had the same issue until she and Mary found a camera with a brighter filter. Going to look for the chocolate. We don't always have the same inventory in 🇨🇦 That coat was perfect. Both Lauren and Becky bought for the last trimesters. Kept warm. Love the property btw, can't wait to see those trailers and bought once the snow melts. I'd store those tires in the house to sell. Stay warm and enjoy your Thanksgiving 🦃❄️

I miss driving on the ice road on the frozen rivers. That was a lot of scary fun. We used to drive 50 to 70 miles on the frozen Kuskokwim River in western Alaska going down to Bethel. Yes, Anchorage roads are crazy during the winter in the big snow storms. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Your channel popped up because I enjoy Somers In Alaska, Bush Radical and Girl in the Woods. Now I've watched about 6 of your videos. Just love your family and channel. Some questions, did you live in Homer that first year? How far do you have to drive for your work? Was it hard finding the blue house you live in? Those home shows only show houses $500,000 and up which I still can't afford myself. Anyway, your Thanksgiving vid was great. We used to do that in my childhood on Dolly Sods, Randolph County WV. . Wow! And we'd be playing Cat Stevens for entertainment on our 8 track player. About 55-60 years ago.❤ I can't wait to see how big your channel gets. It's grown quickly!

I saw your comment about taking ~6 hrs to and back home from Costco, but ho many miles is it? And I thought it was bad having to drive 4 hrs round trip to Costco.

Ski season is usually November through May. We haven't gone skiing, but there is a nice resort called Alyeska near Anchorage.

I was in Alaska last summer and heard someone say Costco has a policy where prices wouldn’t exceed California prices, so Alaskans love Costco because of the value! I will now think of you when I complain about my 30 minute drive to Costco!
