Happy New Year! I used to take my girls out for snowmobile rides in Alaska to cabins and ptarmagin hunting, and they still have vivid memories of that to this day. Glad to see you are making memories and enjoying all that Alaska offers. Our entire family will be back this summer to work on our property and fish in July!!

I have only been there in the summer once. The food in local restaurants were really hardy with huge portions. The winter makes you burn more calories making you ravenous which explains the large portions unchanged for summer. I like the combination there of wilderness and good food. Someday will try winter visit.

I would love to be there. Only problem is I can’t take cold anymore. Once It gets to freezing temps I can’t move. In my younger years it was ok. We try to get Mocha to ride on the sled, but she prefers to run and explore as we drive. She loves the cold and the snow. We aren't really going fast bc of our son. When we camp, she sleeps in the cabin all night. She prefers to be outside and exploring close to the cabin during the day. Happy New Year to you, too 🎊😊!

This part of the trip looked questionable and they got off before it rolled while making a hard turn 😊! We have tried putting boots in her several times, but she's not a fan 😆! She rather run free!

You always get the truck warmed up and check everything before your little family gets in or gets out you check the cabins. We have some friends and the husband is phenomenal like you. You need someone to weld you up a proper cutty frame. That thing you used flexes to much. I used a 55 gallon drum that I cut a lid into the side for one of my cuttys. I used snaps to close the lid but a cam lock drum would work just as well plus your gear will stay dry. I used thrift store skis two pair for each cutty. By having skis the cutty will cut through the snow and turn instead of wallowing which is what your current towable does. You need to use a GPS to at least mark waypoints on those snowmobile trails and there should be a website that lists the grooming schedules for the groomed trails. I cringed when I watched you out on the lake but you knew how cold it was. There have been lots of fools going through the ice in Minnesota this year.

I don't know. The dog seemed fine and larger breeds are able to hike up to 20 miles a day. Sweet dog. I'm not sure the breed, but seems to tolerate the cold well.
