Yeah... No front locker, No auto 4WD, No recovery points (tow hooks) on even their "off road" versions, no V8, no work (Mike Sweers said this isn't a "work" truck. And this thing has a snout only a mother could love. Seems like Toyota went "all in" 🙄.

@@BuzzzdLightyear They might deny you a warranty CV if they can prove your lift is too much... but other than that, a lift isn't gonna get your warranty denied for much.

@@BuzzzdLightyear there r companies out there can produce parts with oem support or without voiding any warranties. They aren't like ford that offers everything within the release and now overloaded with their own problems. They will release or have some optional fitment later on as it progresses on the sales.

This is what we wanted the TRD pro to be in the first place…… a Raptor competitor

I hope this short episode is just an intro and the other episodes are longer and more in depth.

This is a great color combination, i.e. exterior orange and interior red! I didn't know we have this opinion.

@@Captndarty it's a prototype, they could be testing stuff. They have different interior door panel materials on each door, cuz they're testing stuff. White probably shows dirt or leaks better in door jambs, again... it's a test vehicle.

@@gwot they are all prototypes. And the orange ones that were debuted all had orange door sills so they were all factory painted.

Please make a darker color seat for the pro. The red seats don’t hide dirt that well

It looks like it’s actually a white trd pro wrapped in solar octane, not actually painted in solar octane. Just a pre production truck I guess. Can say for sure it won’t come like that from the factory

From what I've seen online with all the test drives it looks like the mpg gauge on the dash in some videos was reading out at or around 25mpg. And if this is true that number will go up after the break in period. Not much though. About 1-2mpg

I'm thinking... How about no.

Failure water to air intercooler, have to use the old bmw idea. Over 12"of space I'm front of the vehicle why not use air to air intercooler like the big Riggs.

Spoiler ALert: the Supra in the background @3:02 has orange door jams

But no recovery hooks because aerodynamics , As if 37" tall tires won't affect MPG

I have seen every color except for midnight black. What happened Toyota?

that's not a Zupra... it's an actual Supra.

A dark burnt smoky orange would of looked better. Blacked out windows. Maroon pinstripe.

Rumor has it they're planning on doing so. But Toyota is still adamant that EV is not the future, even though you released a EV Lexus concept.

I love the truck but the only thing keeping me from buying one its the headliner ON THE TRD PRO. Its disappointing that they can't have a all black headliner on the Trd Pro with red leather seats. It needs to be all black. To me the interior it just doesn't look Right with beige,grey ,red and black . For that reason I wouldn't buy one. If I cant have that option , I'll just buy me Ram instead .

@@gwot For whatever reason, a lot of people seem to be against the idea of a turbocharged six cylinder. I like V8's as much as the next person but no one can deny the performance of a turbo 6cyl. I have a feeling Toyota's 3.5L will be more reliable than Ford's EcoBoost.

Why would they spend money on aftermarket parts on a prototype vehicle . Prototype vehicles are eventual destroyed after the manufacturer is done with them

@@MudhaffarAdhwa Truck is going to be to expensive I'm happy with my 2016 Tacoma that by the way is the same color as this truck there now calling Octane was previously Inferno

Turbo cooling position on the front bumper , Bad Bad Bad Idea , that lower area of front bumper totally not cool for off road, they copy Audi but they forgot they built a truck not car.

i like the turbo but a regular engine (manual transmission) 2 feet of suspension (8 foot bed) independent all wheel drive then add more off road goodies

Th only auto manufacturer who has the most off road trucks in the world with a majority of those trucks driven off-road designed an off-road truck with no recovery points. Toyota is slipping away…
