Bro you are under REGULAR xmaxx features and not the ULTIMATE. If you look under xmaxx ultimate features it will say it is (sold separately)

What does the xmaxx ultimate reference as standard xmaxx parts ? You click it and it sends you to standard xmaxx parts ? Hence standard xmaxx features that all xmaxx’s come with! 50mph spur included 💯if Traxxas wants this not to be included they must remove the standard feature off the ultimate xmaxx’s list if you click standard features that are included in the ultimate it takes you to the base list 🤷🏻‍♂️as this was explained to traxxas I’m sure soon this link will go away 💯

@@earlmoorhead5555 these are the same words came out of you and shows on your video. Under the feature it says optional spur is included. Again , that is regular xmaxx and not the ultimate version. Under the ultimate version it says (sold separately). We all make mistakes but why try to take it further and further with nonsense comments? Also the noise difference between the two are because the ultimate comes with hardened gears.

I’m showing what Traxxas has implied as they implied under standard parts plus upgraded parts the standard link will be going away under the ultimate xmaxx as this was what was described to traxxas today in my phone call to imply you get standard parts with the ultimate would be a false statement and they agreed so I’m sure this standard link will be correct soon but as far as now it’s still there implying it’s included 💯

Yes I even called to find out about the ultimate before I purchased one as well just to make sure what upgrades it had and when certain parts where released for the xmaxx, always best to call and ask then to just assume in my eyes I’m old school get information from the horses mouth 🤷🏻‍♂️

Earl you really surprised me I really thought it might have been the new xrt unlimited but you know you always have been fan of the X-MAXX 💯👍

I had the x maxx since they first came out but now I'm finally going to get the XRT tomorrow,I'm glad I waited this long now I can pick up the ultimate XRT,needless to say I'm stoked ❤

Mistakes happen. Sam from Traxxas seemed to be helpful. That’s what I like so much on Traxxas. Just calling them by phone if you have any problems at all. 👍👍

I’m the one who called Traxxas Earl and they told me only the XRT comes with the Optional gear. Thank you I will be calling them back. Keep up the different Company relations, we appreciate the hard work 👍

Hate to say it but Earl is incorrect. The website says the optional speed gear is sold separately. Both the ultimate XRT & ultimate Xmaxx list the optional gearing is sold separately.

@RoostedFilms so the standard xmaxx that Traxxas has you click on to say your getting this stuff plus we are upgrading 1k in parts should include removing the advertised 50mph speed spur ? In my eyes that’s wrong don’t advertise your giving everything in a standard xmaxx, the first link you can click on to find out what that includes.then say not included somewhere else ? To me and traxxas that didn’t seems right 🤷🏻‍♂️ explaining what your seeing and clicking on is the reason I call and ask and between the manager and Sam they both agreed 🤷🏻‍♂️don’t know how else I can explain it 💯but that why I video record and post everything 🤔I read everything not just small print but everything 🧐

@RoostedFilms yes as they understood this as well the standard gear is 18.00 x 2 and the steel gear x 1 is 29.00 so to take $36.00 and replace it with $29.00 is not an upgrade and I believe traxxas understood this as well. I feel like I said in the video read everything don’t accept what your given , call and ask and traxxas always been fare in customer support 💯my daughter v1 maxx broke 2 wheels after a week traxxas told me wheels have no warranty back then but said they will replace them as they felt the time was to short for them to crack, and that why I like traxxas as a brand! Never hurt to call and ask if they would have told me no im wrong I would have posted that as well 💯

Earl is pushing out incorrect info and he's adamant about it but he is incorrect. He maybe getting his gears sent to him but he's starting problems for others & Traxxas. Might be time to Apologize and set the record straight. Those gears do not come with the ultimate rigs.

My X-Maxx is 2 years old but when it was about a year old it did the same exact thing as yours I could not get it to stop making that tight mesh noise and the only thing that worked was I took the pins out and spaced it further away because one side kept getting tight when the other side was messed right so I kind of think it's the spur gear is not round or something like that I don't know

That is my one and only big complaint on the Xmaxx, a motor mount should not allow the motor to move. Little pins are a great idea for those who dont jump or do any hard driving, but for most we arnt buying an xmaxx to putts around in a parking lot.

I have Xmaxx's and XRT and never have had that noise, but i honestly dont mind having those issues, i enjoy finding the problem and fixing it...curious to see if yours gets quiet??

Hey Earl, I've been interested in seeing if they changed the center drive shaft. Do you know if they made any updates?

I must say the customer service at Traxxas is unmatched by other companies. I’ve always gotten the warranty parts with a simple call. Kinda seems like the speed spur may be removed from the list on the ultimate soon though. It’s gonna cost them a lot sending them out free

Make sure he’s keeping them at storage voltage when the batteries are not being used for any period of time. If Traxxas won’t replace them they’ll definitely let him trade them in for a good discount on new ones like 50% I believe

I bought XRT ultimate, it also lists in owners manual that optional gearing is included parts. I emailed Traxxas, they say it was a mistake. Fine print on box states “sold separately”. Every x-truck I’ve ever bought came with optional gears. I spend half again more for upsell, and Traxxas skimps on gearing. No impressed.

i just plop a big blob motor grease but alot more in the gear well messy but it cover the spur gear when it spins because it's a pool of it to me the sound of it was ok but hopefully it's just the diff i got to do my full tear down soon to on make sure on ball bearings am sure WD-40 will tick it over till my next run.. epic works like you said you don't have to chase them up for it but atleast your willing to an like for that commenter i guess an angry user it wouldn't shock me if they might of insulted the customer support hence the no

I see on their website it now says sold separately in the features list.

Yes it does but traxxas has done that before even the XRT release didn’t do the 70MPH or 60mph it needed the purchase of more gears to achieve it as it had a disclaimer in the owners manual people have had an issue with this for years with traxxas and arrmas rc have always included the speed gears in the bag traxxas seemed to do it with the xmaxx and xo1 only and they been adding gears to select models for the last few year

That bearing is for the servo horn to go in, extra support on the shaft

The Xmaxx there is nothing in that hole when assembled and my hot racing support doesn’t even have the spot for the bearing 🤔

I’m having problems with my new XRT Ultimate. I have tried it twice and the gears have broken twice. Have not even been able to go through a full battery with it. It just keeps breaking.

It needs diff oil in front and rear diffs not grease

Grease is for the pinion and gear that needs grease and you can use grease inside a diff if you want it fully open as some manufacturers do this Arrma has done this as well as traxxas 👍

Into chips off?) something is chipping when you take the wheel off doesn’t seem normal at all anodizing normally won’t chip I’d call traxxas and explain the issue they should send a new part anodizing a dye and can’t chip 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@earlmoorhead5555 sorry for the misunderstanding like where the wheel pops onto the hub I guess when I press and turn the wheel cause it’s hard to put the wheel In so I put preasssure a few times and it chipped the anodizing

So will it really do 50? Seems some brands are very optimistic with speed claims. I personally only know of one brand that consistently meets or exceeds speed claims with only the stated required mods. That * usually means a whole lot more. Also if the gear isn't included what's the point of it all? Any car can achieve any speed with proper mods and the right conditions. Hell, my SCX6 can go 500 plus mph* *On an airplane...

I finally looked on my box for the ultimate down where it says 50+ mph and right under that in really small print it says the speed gear is sold separately but then in the manual it says it’s supposed to be included, somebody messed up.

Yeah just went through the same. Contacted them. Told them the manual says the optional gearing is included but I did not receive it, was told it was a mistake in the manual. I asked how i am supposed to reach the speed of 60+ mph as printed on the box. He said you need the optional gearing. Asked why that’s printed on the box if it’s not included. Told him it was false advertising but you want to make the customer pay for your mistake. He asked if there was anything else I needed help with. My first negative experience with traxxas……

Would the M2C chassie brace stop that from breaking?

Yes everything spinning faster will be Louder but keep an eye on the bearings as I’m having many of the start to stick like there dry and definitely check the diffs if the noise gets super loud 👌

It could be just mine as you can hear in the video the steering bellcrank bearing are all dry and squeaky had one rear wheel bearing freeze up I had to replace now I’m greasing all the bearing as popping them open there dry inside already 👍

The bearing you are questioning is for the support of the servo. There is one in all XMaxx. Nothing new.

Watch the video my standard xmaxx I just bought has a gear noise I’m fixing the green one next to it is the ultimate and the box is there as well and the blue ultimate won’t fit in the video but I have three in the last video 🤷🏻‍♂️

So Earl, what is the truth here? Does it say under the Xmaxx Ultimate list that the optional spur gear IS included, or was that the regular Xmaxx list that you read to Sam at Traxxas? I can’t figure it out with these comments 😳

Watch part 2 tomorrow under the ultimate the first section has standard xmaxx spec that you can click to find out what your getting as a base model as traxxas doesn’t list under the ultimate any of that information, they want you to click the link to find out what that stuff is, then going back to the ultimate it list all the upgrades they added to it, so in calling traxxas my question was both my xmaxx’s ultimate came with no optional gear? As there $18.00 each x 2 because it list both = $36.00 but the ultimate has the steel upgrade that $28.00 for 1 🤔 how is this an upgrade when the web site says we get everything a standard xmaxx get plus more upgrades? They agreed and sent the gears 👌

No problem XMaxx ultimate takes you to the standard xmaxx parts list as every xmaxx has those same parts plus all the upgraded parts are on the first page so clicking standard xmaxx list from the ultimate gives you the list 👍good luck any manager can approve it for you if the help desk can’t 👍

It says "See all the high-performance upgrades that transform X-Maxx into the ultimate 8s tough truck." then a link "View standard X-Maxx features here." By your logic the ultimate should have all plastic parts that are now aluminum as well. It just means you can compare the upgraded parts.X-maxx ultimate features states that the 4s lipos and the optional spur gear are sold separately. But like you said they are not gonna argue over a couple spur gears after you spent over 3 grand. 4 if you count the x-maxx you just bought.

Under the ultimate you have to click standard feature that all xmaxx’s come with ! No matter what model so standard parts plus ultimate parts make up that rc in full 🤷🏻‍♂️ that’s the way they set up there web page as they don’t won’t to list the same stuff over and over on optioned out ultimate rc the slash and rustlers do it the same way 👍
