It’s an amazing truck. Does so much so well. RCR hit the nail on the head with saying it needs brushless power and a stronger servo.

I'm so glad that I purchased the TRX 6 to add to my collection. It is by far my most capable crawler. I did a body swap with the Unimog extended cab and created two different interchangeable beds. The crawler bed is a rally styled flatbed with a roll bar and some light accessories, and the other bed is a cargo bed with extendable ramps that tuck up into the undercarriage. I used the upper trailer bed from the HUNIA forklift trailer and it worked out great, but is a little heavy for crawling that's why I have the other lighter bed. Thank you for all you do for the community.

I'm sure you know by now that you will never please everyone. Just be honest to yourself and the rest will follow. I agree with your information most of the time, but like with everything some times it just comes down to preferences or options that work best for the end user. Have a great day and keep doing what you do. Stay safe my friend.

Francis, please weigh in. Got my TRX 6 last week and am loving it. Would like to add metal beadlocks for the best crawling performance. I've seen you run mismatched sets in all your videos. Should I save up and go with 1.9 Wheels, with Hyrax and Dual.Stage foams or get 2.2 Beadlocks and stay committed to that wheel size for the 6x6? Buying wheels for this thing isn't cheap because I will probably have to buy two sets of 4 wheels no matter what I do. So I don't want to do it twice. Any and all input is appreciated.

Hey y'all! I didn't know where else to share my excitement, but today my TRX6 did wheelies! Like straight up from a stop, on the rear tires front end in the air! In second gear! Here's the recipe. Stock gear ratio (11t/45t), Mamba X (setup in the Holmes Hobbies style going by his tutorial), Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro R 540L 4100KV (MONSTER of a motor!), and last, proline BFG KM3 in predator compound. On dry clean pavement It will go right up in the air with just a Traxxas 5000mah 3S battery. I'm stoked to try my better batteries, but a little scared. I'm already pushing it, lol! It does 10mph in 1st and 25mph in second according to my GPS. And it still crawls like a beast! This truck is truly amazing!

Absolutely love my TRX trucks and especially now that I installed the hobbywing 550 3300 system in my TRX trucks. Can’t believe how much more fun it made them as crawlers and now... bashers!!! I curious though, what voltage are you running your BECs at? I have changed my steering servos to high torque/voltage so I’m not worried about them, more the shift servos and receivers that I’m concerned with. Thanks for all the great info and great videos! We can all benefit from your videos during these tough times.

You can't really do it since your differentials are locked. At high speed, your vehicle will flip over when steering aggressively. But you can put a brushless motor and get a little speed and fiun.

@@snap_fit8686 It's really difficult (near impossible) to build an all round vehicle. Hell, it's hard to shine on scale trailing where realism is key and be an excellent performer on the rocks, let alone be bashable. The only real answer is 2 different vehicles. I bring 2 on every outing. The TRX4 and the Slash 4x4 velineon. I only own a handful of vehicles but those 2 are guaranteed to cover anything the crew decides to do. Brushless Slash cogs horribly if you try to crawl with it, TRX4 rolls over constantly when trying to bash it. But yes, brushless needs the whole system changed out.

Unfortunately traxxas is in the unique position to create such a product. The 6x6 is great for so many reason. Yeah it’s a great crawler, but it can also handle terrain at a decent pace, jump, drift, and act the scale part... The lockers and decent high range ratio really make most of this truck what it is. A pure crawler is boring off obstacles, but the trx6 is fun running to and from obstacles.

Less challenge on a given terrain usually just means that you can handle much more difficult terrain. 2.2 tires raise the center of gravity and harm performance. Also they do not fit here.
