@der alterego - that’s not a correct installation. The entire winch is supposed to be “outside” the front bumper such that you can access the free release button without having to take the entire body off the chassis. To do it properly, you need a different front bumper winch assemble.

That is also a solution but I followed the manual that came with the winch. You can do it in every way you like it. This looks clean without getting an extra bumper or part for the car.

I followed the manual it definitely got putting winch inside for the G63 and outside for the TRX 4 but only the ones that have dummy winches but I do think having to buy a whole new bumper just to get the right type fairlead is a rip off in UK they are £30 😢

@@shottonfb I choose this way and like it, it looks clean and I use the remote to extract the hook so no problem

Yeah, but it is perfect possible and looks great.
Was you able to use the factory bumper or did you have to order an aftermarket one?

It fits easy and perfect in the factory bumper! Only the body needs to be little cut out but it was easy only some milimeters.
