Hpi re released the gt3 savage x 4.6 then made the gt6 x 4.6 and now the savage gt6xl 5.9. I have both gt6 x and xl love them both

I have a brand new Nitro slash 2WD with a 3.3 ready to go, it's set up to start from the transmitter, haven't used yet because of weather but its ready for spring....great nitro action👍👍

I bought my T-Maxx back when electrics took too long to charge and ran for about 15 minutes. It made sense back then. Today though, you can get over an hour run time with short charge times. Still can't replace the smell and sound of nitro. Yeah the electrics are fast and run longer, but they just don't give you the same experience. I have a first gen nitro stampede converted to a 2.5R engine. That thing is too wild to control. So much more fun than electric models.

Takes double A batteries so nothing to charge just the same batteries as the radio 💯

I use the DuraTrax 1/8 scale body clips. They're bent at the ends. Makes it much easier

Yea once you get a handful of glow plugs a few gallons of fuel a good lipo for servos and a good glow heater your all set for a nitro rig I had three Traxxas Revo platinums for my first RCS wish I had them still they are worth a bunch!

Don't have to wait unless your nimh battery for your receiver goes dead lol, had that happen with my MGT

I've had the X Maxx for a few years and love it, but I recently bought a Slayer Pro 4x4 nitro and man It's fun. I charge the LIPO's then fire up the nitro, then after I break something or run a tank or two, I switch to the X Maxx.

Love my nitros also!...great content as always!

I'mI like the durability of the 2.5r could run it wide open on 5 acres all day no issues get at least 5 gallons that 3.3 you'll break a connecting rod quick doing that a lot of power

I have a power station so I can charge on the go. Usually ready before I am. 🍻

Traxxas 3.3 and 2.5 motors are known for not needing to be tuned frequently. If I ever own a nitro, it'll be a T-Maxx classic or a Revo 3.3 because I'm a sucker for cantilever suspension.

Great video, had some nice runs with the nitro buggies today too, so much fun! #1 with grilled onions and a diet coke is my goto too!

Electric is way easier than nitro that’s why more people are going to electric because they don’t understand the mechanics of a nitro , learning to tune a nitro properly takes a few years in the hobbie to actually know what you are doing, you need to understand the clutch what set up works best on what terrain know how to recognise if your engine is to rich to lean before you do damage, I run both I don’t need to worry about all that with electric it’s to easy with electric

Fallowing the instructions on tuning is easy and worst is to have a hobby shop tune it and you just rip it batteries are really not easy to maintain as most don’t learn it safely easier to learn to tune then charge for an hour then balance charge after you run easiest is to run a nitro out of fuel done ✅

Honestly it does seem interdating but after a few you tube videos and you can learn alot about Nitro. Traxxas instructions alone are very well done

Now I can understand the benefits of gas or nitro RC. But I’m surprised Cali hasn’t tried to ban those types of RC. Being that Cali so strict with pollution and noise. Here in Boston they already trying make everything Ecco friendly. Your so lucky you have In-N-Out every time come back to visit family in SoCal, that’s the first place I go to and get me two double double animal style! Haha 😂

EARL….I agree I always have a nitro in my trunk,,,I have the fear of leaving a fully charged battery in my car all day..WHICH could be disastrous if one goes bad…..here in N.C ,one or 2 days of 80 then goes back down to the low 50’s for a while,,,crazy weather all over the country,,yup we have in and out burgers here,,,my go to…🇺🇸👈🚘

Yeah you got a point but so does electric electric is faster and easier and in today's RC it lasts a lot longer with the battery time I did buy a T-Maxx before Nitro is cool and it does have a nice experience but if I'm going to do gas I'm going to go 1/5 scale makes more sense at least to me then you can fill up all day and not have to go to the Hobby store or special order gas by the way that's more expensive now a days

electric can be totally hard for some people :( i get it, upvoted!!!

I had a T Maxx in 1999 when it first came out, it was great fun, then got the E Maxx when it came out in 2000

nitro is no way easier than electric you have to deal with climate and be able to tune accordinly. nitro is cool but your making it look easy cause you know whats up and its a straight up mess, that fuel gets all over everthing

In my opinion only thing better about nitro is the sound but sound is a big cool factor, I pretty much stopped watching F1 because the V6 cars sounds like vacuum cleaners lol but you definitely won’t get a nitro 1/10 too go over a 100 mph like an arrma 3s
