    I am debating between these two vehicles! I will be using this truck on all sorts of terrain, including some trailing/crawling, but mostly onroad bashing and jumping and what not. I like the scale look of the slash better. But, I know that e revo is getting lots of great reviews. Actually, even thinking of getting a summit body for it and making some mods to make it more of a trail truck. In the end, I know either will be a good choice.

    True! If you think you'll be doing more trailing or crawling the summit may be better as it has higher wheel base clearance. Tho the Summit won't jump as well as the Revo I have no doubt it would do a ton better on terrain vs the Slash hands down. I did change some mounts and put a Slash body on my Revo and really liked the look. Just had to do a little trimming. You can check it out on my channel to see how that looks if you're interested.

    keno g the Revo has a brushless motor and is a lot faster. The Slash only comes with a brushed motor. Brushless motors are generally always faster than a brushed motor.

    Taimisel Leyva. I would recommend the e-revo over the other 2. They are all different but overall for speed, durability I’d say the revo would be more fun.

    Can the revo wheels fit on the slash if you lift the slash body?

  • @RCArsenal

    @RCArsenal

    Well….it fits the hub carriers but the A-Arms are too short and the Revo tires have a big offset so it wouldn't turn worth a crap. The stock slash and revo body mounts aren't tall enough to give decent clearance for the body either. I used the Summit body posts to give it enough height so it was functional and had to do some minor trimming around the wheel wells. Bored one day, I put the Slash body and tires on the Revo. Rear spoiler had to come off. It was pretty squirrelly to drive but fun. On my basement tile floor that thing was drifting around pretty nice. Actually looked pretty nice as well. One thing that I really dislike is the lack of better tire options for the 1/16 Slash. The stock ones are a very hard compound and they just don't hook up that well. Hard to really complain because yes it is a "scaled" short course truck and that it is. If you were running a few scale trucks together then a drivers skill would show who's got better talent. Hands down, it just doesn't compare to what a Revo can do. Simply put the design makes it a much better all around RC. Just jumping the 1/16 Slash is a challenge where the Revo is pretty easy to control. I am currently modding my 1/16 Slash to a drifter. Got some diff locks to put in and going to take out the front drive shaft to see how it runs. I picked up the 1/16 Slash because I got my kids one for christmas last year and decided later to get my own as well so if we're all running together they can't complain about the Revo beating them haha. Lengthy response to your simple tire question but just sharing some more info on what I've learned. If you have any more questions just let me know. I currently can't do vids until I get my computer fixed but I can do more things in the future.

    Hands down at this point from what I've noticed I would go with the Revo. The wider wheel base, larger tires, and higher clearance allows the Revo to go over terrain a lot easier than the Slash can. Also, I've noticed the Slash has a tendency to roll over a lot easier as well. All in all the Revo is just much better from all I've noticed.

    +R/C Arsenal ty. Once i heard the Slash'S battery is week whole driving in High Grass. Is IT the same with e-revo? Do have something i should now b4 i Buy the revo?

  • @RCArsenal

    +Melvinovic eklund well it's not so much the battery is weak when it comes to the tall grass, it's more that it really puts a demand on the battery and it sucks it down faster. Tho whether it's a revo, slash or any other rc running them on a LiPo battery is a HUGE difference. I use SPC 2 cell, 2500 mAh lipos and those are great. Keep in mind tho with a lipo the stock battery charger isn't compatible. Revo does better in the grass cause of the tires and height clearance.

    Prices will vary based off where you get your parts. Can't tell you off the top of my head. You can find all of that stuff on sites like Amazon which should show you different sellers for more competitive prices. I'd get the RPM brand A-Arms though vs the stock Traxxas ones.
