    Get the e-revo 2.0 pushrods/ends. They use much beefier ends and a larger OD shaft, but should fit fine with P2 rockers. Much less likely to pull the threads out and break in general. I never had many issues with the rear rockers/pushrods/shocks on the nitro revo's. Only had issues with my v1 and 2.0 brushless revo's. The nitro's just weren't as fast, so the crashes weren't as bad. That's even with having a big block or OS21TM in them, they still don't hold a candle to the power/speed of brushless. I still have my nitro's though. I broke less suspension parts on them. Got tired of replacing rocker posts and shock internals on my e-revo 2.0 and sold it off.

    T-MAXX's tendency to roll can be solved with a sway bar install. I am currently fabricating a setup for my T-MAXX using donor Traxxas Slash sway bar kit parts. I just need to get the bars secured with printed mounts so I can start testing.

    @@Dre357 I actually have two T-MAXX builds. Normal short chassis 4910 with a 3.3 upgrade and the oddball 3.3 4909 converted to long chassis with a reverse delete. Full Force RC made a sweet sway bar kit for the T/E-Maxx but it has been discontinued and everybody seems to hold on them like they are "precious". The Slash sway bar project requires two 4X4 VXL kits because the T-MAXX needs the longer rear end links for front & rear and the wider rear sway bars that are tweaked to make a perfect fit. Oh yeah, you have a nice collection of Nitro. I also have a Savage X nitro and an HB GTX2 twin with parts that are difficult to find.

    @Dre357. Is it worth just upgrading the carb the OS carb and which one? I know you said the 11K but I also read that the 11KR is the proper one bc of the longer shaft for the servo to connect to. Should I just keep the 3.3 and upgrade the carb or would it be better to upgrade to a whole OS engine replacement?

  • @Dre357

    @Dre357

    3 ай бұрын

    I don't have any knowledge of the OS engines, but I do know that the 11k carburetor really makes the 3.3 bottom end power much better. As far as the 11kr, yes, that would be the best choice. Unless your engine needs major repairs or replacement, I personally would not upgrade to an OS engine. I would just buy the carburetor.

    @@Dre357 okay I appreciate it! I literally just bought the revo a couple days ago and only did the break-in for it. I’ve had a nitro car before about 8 years ago before I joined the army and now I’m getting back into nitro. I just keep seeing things about bad piston robs and pin. I never heavily beat on my rc cars so hopefully I don’t have any issues with it. I’m just torn between do I upgrade the rod or do I just run the car as is and when it goes then upgrade to an OS engine like I been seeing on KZread.

    So I’m new to the RC car hobby. Why do people prefer the nitro cars over the electric ones. They seem like way more maintenance and money also they are super loud. Compared to electric. Is it like people who prefer a gas over diesel? I love this hobby but it seems the electric are easier to maintain and less of a hassle than nitro ones. I ask this respectfully. Great video by the way.

  • @Dre357

    It's a preference. Somewhat similar to gas grills vs charcoal grills. For me, the smell, sound and linear power output are some of the reasons why I love nitros. Also, the reasons that some people don't like nitros and prefer electrics are the some of the same reasons that nitro people prefer them. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

    Electrics are plug and play out of the box. Whereas Nitro's require a short break in period and tuning. There will aways be maintenance to do . But with Nitro's there are a few other things. Thats also the fun Of Nitro's. There is lots you can learn with them. You feel like its your own hot rod that you take car of. Some people like me would rather be in the zone and tinkering with Thier Nitro's. Others would rather just chunk their electric when they are done and do something else. It just depends on you.

  • @Dre357

    @Dre357

    26 күн бұрын

    Well for me, I started with the OS 11k carburetor. I have one on a few of nitros. It holds a tune better and provides more low end power output in my opinion. I believe that it can be achieved with the stock carburetor. My Revo 2.5R has a TRX 3.3 engine and does wheelies pretty easily with a good tune. But, it does have a shorter wheelbase. Hope this helps and keep burning nitro! 👍🏿
