I have that same car with the same body, mines not as cool as yours but I’m just getting started! Also love to see there is a few people putting out videos like this!!

Hi Ethan. This was something different for me, Tamiya kits are more my style. My son had the body and an old Traxxas Slash 2wd chassis and asked me if In could do something with it. Not much on the net about the McAllister Sprint so it took me awhile to get it together. Seemed like a good idea to document it on KZread so we could refer back to it in the future. My son says it handles well on the track, but has not raced it competitively. Next winter I would like to do a Traxxas 2 wd setup as a late model dirt oval car. If I do I will try and video the build.

I race mine in the sportsman class at my local tracks, I unfortunately haven’t done to much to mine because my friend that I race rc with put money in a slash and ended up regretting it and I am trying not to fall in the same footsteps as he did, as much as I would like to I don’t think I will, still really cool to see someone doing it and taking there time! You don’t see a bunch of dirt oval anymore that’s for sure

This is the one we used: mcallisterracing.com/shop/ols/products/mercer-sprint-complete-package. It's called the Mercer Sprint and is available with or without the wings. They do have other sprint bodies, but I am not sure if they fit the 2wd Slash chassis.

My son has been running it off and on this summer, but not competitively. He had to change tires because the ProLine Chainlinks that we originally installed didn't perform well on a dry dirt track. Not sure what he has on it now. Mechanically it is strong; highly recommend the ProLine upgrade kit for the 2wd Slash chassis. Gotta be careful with the wings, repeated end over end flips will rip em off :)

I just got me sprint car body,and I have a question about the rear body post,did you change the post ? my post is wider then the shell..

Watch video at 1:57, the two body posts can be clearly seen there. They are simply posts attached with a screw from the underside of the chassis. Unfortunately I cannot tell you where to get them. We just found them in a box of misc parts my son had. The front of the body fits under the shock tower as seen at 8:28.

Not sure of the part #, but my son got them from Proline to match the Proline Chainlink tires. They arfe the glue on type. He said that the chainlinks didn't work well on the dry sandy track he runs on. Don't know what he ended up with.

Chassis is a modified Traxxas Slash 2wd. Body is available from Mcallister Racing.
