I love Thailand but I do dream about the things I would change if I could. What are the things that aggravate you the most about Thailand? What are the things you would change if it was in your power?

I think many expats in Thailand think driving is easy because they think just follow the law from their country. It is Thai law if you ride a scooter or motorcycle you have to drive on the left most side of the road, or bear left. Don't drive in the slowly in the middle of the road on a scooter, it is illegal. Also the rule of size applies, smaller vehicles yield to larger vehicles. You can be right and you can be dead right. Also if you are here on holiday and you get cut off just take it easy and let the car merge, don't wreck your holiday

I take a size 12 shoe. I used to go to the second hand part of soi buekow market. You can get some good shoes and trainers very cheap. I tried to bring some sauce with me from London once in my hand luggage. But showed up on the xray and they confiscated it. I guess it is classified as liquid. G9od advice video tom. One more always wear underwear, vits illegal not to do so

Well, what about those (all) agogos where girls go crazy when customers throw banknotes in the air. Or this jacuzzi agogo where banknotes are stuck on the soapcovered T.I.T.

That's a good point. The circumstances are not the norm though. The people doing it and the people serving are all like minded and most likely won't take offense versus someone on the street that doesn’t have any vestment in the situation.

Tipping can be confusing in Thailand. Not how much but how you give it. Whether you include it in the folder they give you with the bill or give it separately (and how to do that to insure she gets it all). You might add that to your list of helpful tips sometime.

You don't have to leave tips, but I always do, I give my tip to my waitress

That's a good point. For the most part using this concept, the tip isn't shared with the other staff. My X worked as a waitress at the Sportsman in Pattaya. Their policy was ALL tips with in the bin and handed personally were shared amongst all employees. Swensen Ice Cream in Thailand also has the same policy. I'm sure there's other places as well.

I use a dentist that i had to take off my shoes, but a few years ago they changed and now i can keep them on. Kinda annoyed me a little as i always thought im leaving 3000 baht shoes outside next to 50 baht flip flops. ( I don't own flip flops and never have ) awfull things. I never complained but i guess other people did.

Tom, Whats the deal on STD testing in Pattaya. I had always heard that places- soapy soaps- like Honeys, Rasputins etc, tested their employees weekly. While most bars and Gents club dont?

This is a subject I really took serious and tried ask around about. When I owned a bar. The health department came around once a month or so and checked our employee ID book and distributed condoms and sometimes lubricants to the people that wanted them. There was no mandatory STD testing what so ever. In the last 2 days I talked to other bar/gogo/massage shop owners/managers about this same subject and they felt like no-one really wants to know the truth. Even if testing was available they feel like there's no funds available to pay for them. One manager told me that he offers testing for anyone on his staff that wants it but it's not mandatory and no one has ever accepted the offer. I talked to two girls that worked a Soapy Massage, they told me even mentioning something like STD testing would get them fired. So it's more real than I ever thought. I hope this helps.

She's a rebel! I agree with the street food aspect. I don't eat food that has been hanging for an undetermined amount of time or food that is pilled up in a display except fruit on ice. I like items cooked for me while I'm there. Even fried chicken, I want it thrown in the oil for a bit before I buy it. Great advice.
