Hákarl is something most Icelanders never eat. It is better than starving - that is all I can say about it. He/they should have tried kjötsúpa, Hangikjöt, Lambakjöt or ýsa; (boiled or fried haddock),with potatoes and smjöri(butter). They could have tried a lot of good food icelandic people eat daily... or seldom like Sviðakjammar that actually are eatable. As for Brennivín... no-one drinks that "straight" you fill the glass with kók i.e. Coca-Cola or some other type of soda.

Lets see if my over-stimulated brain can absorb ultra-modern Shakespearean comedy. I think from now on I have to say, "Woah, now that is too Turkish!!" Richard Ayoade terms to live by: "Why won't this kill me?" "I had to go through that like a jackal." "That's going to end up a horrible gift." "Lights on, it's become too Turkish". "I think any food that requires you to be drunk should be reassessed." "That is not how you get Michelin stars." "That face tells me you made the wrong decision." "It looks like a normal leaf I would eat if I was lost in a park." "This Watership Down is sanctified with apple schnapps..."
The very fact that you did this with Lena Dunham complaining about black pudding/blood sausage has turned my stomach. Black pudding can be gorgeous! One of my favourite dishes.

“That’s too Turkish” is definitely my new catchphrase! CancelledT has been canceledT!
On nettles, i have never eaten it raw but in soup its like a kind of spinach.(and if you roll or simply stroke the spines with your palm or something you won't get stung while its raw) Quite good and very nutritious.
11:33 I love this moment of simultaneous contemplation and acceptance.
