I've heard so many negative things about Galveston for years and I went there to see for myself. I enjoyed Galveston and it's a great place to visit. Some people are just negative.

I totally agree. I have been there lots of times and the only thing I guess isn’t the best is the color of the water. It does look kind of dirty but other than that it’s an amazing place!

Thank u for the video!!! Heard negative things about Galveston, BUT when I went, I LOVED it so much that I'm considering moving to northwest of Houston just to be able to go there frequently. It resembles Louisiana. So historic! Ok, so the water isn't as blue as in Fl, but it's still beautiful and fun! Plus, the ppl are so friendly!

I made a presentation about galveston about 2 years ago and this video was not exsisting. It is really nice and contains nice information.

Thanks for this awesome video, hard to believe its been 40 years since I was last down there, the summer of 1982 after I finished HS, I stayed with my aunt on the west end of the island.

i’m going there this summer I usually go there like every summer but thanks for telling me more and I kind of forgot because it’s been like a year so thanks for telling me!😊 Edit: forgot to mention that there is a hotel called inn at the water park it’s right by this waterpark called Schlitterbahn

@erikka409 Crime rate high, dangerous, beach and water is dirty and ugly, etc...BUT I LOVE IT THERE!! So, it's irrelevant what I heard. To me, it's a nice beach town!!!

Well to be honest I didnt even it was an island..and it looks amazing!

Galveston conjures up ideas of Texas cowboy culture, tumbleweeds and a rough Western landscape.

Warning don’t go on the dragon boat ride at pleasure pier. It made my insides almost fly out of my mouth. You will be deathly sick afterward. Not even the rollercoasters were as bad as it.

Galveston was actually the first to be freed in Texas stop spreading misinformation 🤡. Galveston was the capital of Texas and the largest city in Texas at that time. When it was time to free the slaves in Texas the message was relayed to Galveston first. Read a book stop repeating what you hear on social media.
