The pocket set has probably taken more coons and mink than any other set. In this video I show how to make this very simple and productive set.

Thanks for taking us along on the trap line! Grew up in the 80’s enjoying the outdoors just like yourself. I still enjoy them but now live in Australia so finding your channel has been like a time capsule. Lol Keep up the good work and dedication

Using a toggle is the best way by far. That was the absolute best technique I learned from Stu . It cut my remakes so easy. Where I can't get a drown set I am toggle with a drag of a sort... thanks again

Going to give this set a try next season. I used dog proofs and Bodygrips with some success but definitely could have caught a few more this way. As always, great vid keep them coming! 👍

Hey I got another challenge for you!! Multiple catch's from one set!! Like throwing inside a pocket set a foot hold in deep then next coming outward, a dog proof, and at the entrance a coniber. Or something like that. Or maybe multiple foot holds at different depths with a run away toggle. I think that would be something! Save time, save bait, I'm very curious as to what others come out with and what actually works. Keep catching em. Love the videos. You are my go to for knowledge. Thanks.

Definitely will need to try that next year. I used a few drags this year but may give the toggle a try as well. Great video.

I just got all my coyote hides out of the freezer and put them in the pickle to start tanning. I saved a bunch of glands to try and make a scent for next year,do you have any tips? I’m putting them in big mason jars and going to set it outside in the wood shed to rot down for the summer, then what? Do I just mix some glycerin in with it to stop the fermentation? Thanks for any advice.

Last season was my first time trapping. From my short experience I had them avoid bodygrips a lot. Had tracks in the snow going right around my trap. I would go with the pocket sets next time
