Now I know what the dealership has had to do twice on my 2019 T250. Once at 31k and just again at 44k. Mine has the non-turbo 3.7L. Thank you for your videos.

Doing a rear main seal on a 2018 transit 250 as we speak. Didn't have to drop subframe, just disconnected trans and moved back 6 inches for working room. With 250,000km on the clock the crank has a groove worn into it where the seal rides. Thank goodness I didn't spend 5+ hours removing everything to find this haha

Howdy med tec, I just recently found your videos, they are great in helping understand my 2015 transit 250 , I dont even know if I qualify for a back yard mechanic anymore, I would greatly appreciate your input, I recently had torque converter replaced and it leaks oil, What could they have jazzed up that created the oil leak, Thanks for all the great content. 👍

Well there is a few things that they had to disconnect to replace the converter. The trans cooler lines could certainly be leaking that will come from the driver side of the trans but it will run down to the pan and probably run all the way to the back it could easily look like a pan leal of you don't look closely. The other most likely suspect would be the input shaft seal that seals around the converter. They are supposed to be replaced when putting in a new converter, that will be coming out from where the bellhousing meets the engine. Hope this helps

@@medtec6747 Thanks for the reply, sorry forgot to mention , it was motor oil , I had them change the to , thought it may have been drain plug leaking, had them replace that but still leaking, have appointment in 2 weeks to get back in just wanted to be more educated . I love the van its been good to me 93,000 miles, Thanks

I've never had a problem with it not bleeding. I just fill it up and start it up with no weight on the front wheels and cycle the rack lock to lock until I don't hear the pump whine then let it sit for 10 minutes or so to let all the bubbles settle out and tip off the fluid.

I had the trans replaced in my 2020 and my 2017 an there is a noise like bad strut coming from the driver side on both I think it’s something to do with the K member have you had this problem if so what was the fix I have new struts on the 2017 and the 2020 only had 60,000 on it

Where did you lift the transit? The factory lift points don’t allow transmission to come out because it lifts on the front cross member

I lift right behind the trans crossmember on the channel rail that the trans crossmemember mounts to.

This is Ford’s mainstream engine used in F-150, Expedition, Navigator, Explorer, Transit, etc. Just think of all the oil getting into our lakes and streams because of this! My 2015 is leaking here at only 92,000 miles. The EPA should issue a $500 fine to automakers per leaky vehicle under 10 years of age or 150,000 miles and require them to pay for all repairs needed to stop the leak within 30 days! SMH
