Transit of Mercury 2019 plus size and distance represented with common objects
Mercury passed across the Sun on November 11th. Mercury appears as a tiny dot on the sun. Mercury is a little less than 40% the distance from the Sun that we on Earth are. Earth is 93 million miles away. I use a few common objects to scale this distance down to 25 meters.
