Ef + B series = Epic

As a 17 yr old, this is my dream car. I've been admiring the EF for around 2 years now. Its the first car I want to get and I'll be building on a budget as teen as well lol.

Thats so cool! I fell in love with the ef hatch after being addicted to the Japanese Kanjo street racer videos, always dreamt of building a b series ef, with similar styling to a kanjo racer, stoked that I get to live out this dream! Civic's are perfect first cars to get into modifying cars in my opnion! All the best mate!

i have just brought one and im only 18 if ur from the uk they are very hard to insure iu got quoted over 6k i passed in january

Damn you guys make me feel old lol, I’ve been playing with EF hatches for 20+ years. I still own two, one has a B16 in it I swapped in it some 20 years ago…..going to be pulling that motor and putting in a K24a2. I used to race mine when I was a broke college kid, doing autox. It really is a GREAT platform to build on. In the states(America) clean ones are hard to find and the parts are even more difficult to source.

Started out with an '89 DX as my first car and it was wrecked. So I purchased an EF9 front end from HMO and got it back on the road. A Gen 1 B16A followed along with an Invidia exhaust and a JDM gauge cluster as well. Tein RA's went on following that along with some HX wheels. Sure was a fun car. Motorcycle with four wheels, ha!

I love the Charge Speed spoiler on the ef chassis Thats what made me fall in love Hope you change the stock spoiler too and I would say the car could be finished

Man I miss mine that was exact same but had B18a1 😢 I've always regretted selling it! I bought it back in 2002 when I was 18yrs old and blew up 4/5 Sohc motors running the piss out of em vs muscle cars but I owned it for 14/15yrs and I'm 40 now and want it back desperately 😢😢

Ride height is perfect

Looks like your Civic body was from an 88-89 DX (no moonroof). Si’s came with moonroof as standard feature. Front and rear EF bumpers, side mouldings and markers were installed afterwards. Still a great car for swapping body parts and motors. I have an Si that I bought brand new on Dec. 1988. Latest motor swap: 97 B18C JDM ITR. Car is still in the garage.

hey mate maybe in america the si's came with a moonroof, this is an ef3... a jap import to nz so came stock standard without one and of course all the japanese parts!

Man, I miss my Eg hatch, I had a ek coupe as well. Both standard and basic d series. I had a b16 drop out ready for a whole gasket kit and ARP studs for future boost. Maybe in the future I’ll have another. Until then I’m subbed and watching 🤘🏽

the "H" emblem on your steering wheel pops out so you can access the 19mm nut without taking off the steering column clam shell or anything from behind. Use a small pick and the square just pops off.

Looking great bro. You might want to get those front ball joints and tie rods changed. They’re looking pretty worn. Car will feel and handle much better after. Trust me.

Nice selection of upgrades, it really transformed the car but get some lower profile tyres, those 195/60/15 are way to bulky for a EF. Regards from South Africa 🇿🇦

You need to run 195/45/r15 Thets a much better fitment

When my dad bought an EF civic, it came without an exhaust 💀💀

You need to find a coilover set for a ef. The eg suspension sits an 1in higher, automatically. You could probably get away with buying drop forks in the front.
