There was some foreshadowing in dotm. Early in the film when wheelie was watching Star Trek, he said “this is the one where spock goes nuts” a Lenard nimoy character who goes nuts? That kinda describes sentinel prime

@@danielleh.8446 but not only the helmet, the gray / silver parts are black, but in the movie he had no black antennas on his helmet or black horns on his forehead, and his shoulders and chest also lack gray parts

There's actually a locking point on Sentinel Prime's back, if you watch Kevin Liu's review of that.

@@alumlovescake No it was Gods. You have to understand that Sentinel was of Prime lineage but definitely not worthy of the title. Where Optimus is truly a Prime because of his values, moral, humility and natural ability to inspire and lead, Sentinel views it more of a prideful title and sees himself above many. So he describing the Cybertronian race as Gods on Cybertron is natural and feels insulted that humans merely look upon him and his kind as machines/robots.

GET THAT IRONHIDE AWAY FROM SENTINEL

Sentinel Prime is not a Decepticon, he's an Autobot villain!

the first time i learned about transformers was when i was spending the night over my grandpa's house and i saw the dark of the moon movie now i kinda live and breathe transformers

hey i just noticed you didnt cliped the windshield on his back... there is a peg on it to be able to be attached on the top back to make it more flatten a bit i saw this in kevin liu's channel

If the safety rails could fold down on the cape, i'd like it more.

Sentinel prime is a great figure but any companies that has a upgrade kit for him with be great the pillars, rust cannon, and shield

Imagine tomorrow or the following day he ends up with overload

CORRECTION: The windscreen backpack can be raised and pegged into a slot on the top of Sentinel Prime’s back. That way, the backpack will sit more flush, and it covers the big gap at the back too.

The lack of ankle joint is just sad.

This gives me hope for a new Knight Optimus mold

I bought this recently and absolutely love it. The paint and details are so nice. The vehicle mode is rock solid when it's all pegged it, and the connections are very tight. The connections in vehicle mode are so good, it almost feels like a standard toy truck, and you can really play with it and nothing comes loose by accident. My only minor complaint is that in robot mode the waist connection is weak and can detach easily, but that can be fixed with a dot of stick tack.

Wow, that headsculpt. It’s amazing. I can’t wait for mine.

I like the sword but, they could have at least painted the edges red on the side that doesn’t have the white lines

Great review, Sentinel looks great, but I'm disappointed it doesn't include shield and gun, even then I'll get him and the inevitable KO OS version that most probably will include the accessories.

Excellent review as always and you're very lucky to get this figure early! I would have been so sad if SS had ended before we got a good Sentinel Prime. He seems mostly great so I'm very very happy. I wish the fire hose had become the gun somehow, and he needs a shield, so I'm hoping someone will design one. It's a prime (hehe) candidate for a DNA upgrade kit!

I'm somebody who collects these, and then does the best detail screen accurate paint jobs out there. Some time I might post em, but this dude seriously needs a crazy amount of painted detail work

Op is the hardest I swear I spent 3 days trying to figure it out and then I finally got it.

Wasn't Sentinel on your old list for most wanted SS figures for Has/Tak to make? This figure accomplished so much, and is very impressive. Can't wait to have him round out the main antagonists for DOTM. At this point, I just pray we eventually get Dino and Que.

Definitely or at the very least voyagers on par with ROTF Megatron. You look at the movie and Optimus is virtually the same size as Megatron in ROTF yet his figure is notably smaller. My one peeve with the Studio Series.

this is the first transformer I pre-ordered I'm hyped!

Looks cool, but I will wait for the knocks off, they normaly improves the design, make them bigger, gives more details and adds new things. I really hope they find a way to nail Sentinel's "cape".

Bringing him with the cargo of the space bridge pillars is a setback.

The backpack pegs on the back rather than hanging down. I saw another reviewer that uses the tab under the cape to plug to the windshield.

This may well make the top 3 of 2020 Studio series

This going to be one of my favorite studio series.

I love the sword Storage in altmode, but I'm disappointed that he doesn't come with his shield or atleast his cosmic rust gun.

Prime can I ask when do you think the next new wave that are Cliffjumper, Topspin, Soundwave, and the one we all want Blitzwing be revived?

They keep making one thing loose on these figures c'mon man the feet on shockwave is to loose and nothing can hold it up and then sentinal with the chest btw can people tell me how to tighten the feet on the shockwave figure please its annoying

I believe the front of the truck can fold in more and the cape have a tab that can lock it into place

Man this guy looks sooo GOOD! But i need a mpm version or a upscaled knock off for my collection.

I am impressed with the paint, sculpt and detail. Even though he has a intricate design his transformation is rather straight forward. My only qualm is he either came with the cosmic rust canon or included both the double sided sword and the shield.

I just got this figure today. To fix the " loose waist ", i put super glue on a tooth pick, then wiped it across the sides of the inner pegs. Let it dry and the pegs will be thick enough to hold the torso. And the glue wont damage the paint so long you use the tooth pick to distribute it.

Well, this new figure definitely has a better looking head than that of the old Leader Class one, I'll give it that. And I do appreciate the blade splitting down the middle, considering he did hold one single blade on its own in one scene. :)

He is one of my favorite characters from dark of the moon, my favorite part of him I like is his vehicle firm and I really want it, I looked on Amazon but couldn’t find it, when I searched him on google and clicked onto the link from google to him on Amazon it said that the toy was ‘currently unavailable’.

@@PrimeVsPrime I agree too with the blade. Imo I feel like the robot mode has a lot of dark color and I thought he needed a few silver paint especially on his feet where he had a silver line on the middle of his knight like feet

For the shield, couldn't you use one of the shields that came with the Jet wing Optimus Prime figure. I think it would work quite well, but maybe an upgrade kit will come out, to improve the figure, just that tiny bit.

You can use a shield from the dna ss44 upgrade kit

The front section of the truck can compress further but articulation might be compromised. Keep in mind this is probably intended by the designers because the peg wouldn’t be there otherwise, the way you do it is that you fold the front backwards on itself and the final result is reminiscent of ss blackouts backpack. I will say I didn’t come up with this trick for more info check out actar rakits update review

DOTM Sentinel Prime's Headsculpt was partially based off Leonard Nimoy in order to be recognisable, however, the main inspiration for Sentinel Prime overall, including the head was Alpha Trion, who the character was originally going to be

I'll be the first to say it. I wouldn't mind Sentinal Prime be at a leader class price. Why you may ask? Well because if he was in the leaderclass price, he would have his gun, Sheild and sword with the pillars and those are reasonable accessories for him.

I just bought mine at my local Walmart. I didn't think he was supposed to be released for another month. I also bought Scrapper as well.

You messed up the back. The front part of the vehicle mode should be stored on the back itself, not his but. There’s a peg on the cape that snaps onto it.

Great figure, I just only wish the rails on his back folded in for a cleaner look

I can't wait for Wei Jiang to upscale this so I can have it next to my m01 commander

The head on mine came off and I had a hell of a time getting it back on and idk if I'm just an idiot or my copy has issues. The waist won't stay together and can't him in a good pose. His sculpt paint and look makes up for all that tho. This guy and my last knight Megatron are some of my favorite studio series

To anybody interested, there’s a guy on eBay who gets 3D copy’s of Sentinels shield, rust cannon, and pillars for only 17.00 free shipping. He paints them as well. He also sells weapons kits for 51 Soundwave and 54 Megatron. I can’t recommend him enough.
