​@@k.guzhvin4952well, in the original cartoon, orion pax was a dock yard workers. The librarian take came later. Both takes can be interesting. This one, with orion as a fellow worker like megatron, seems to mean they will be closer friends and it could make the fall out between them hit harder.

BTW - D-16 was the Megatron TOY model number. D for Destrons , aka Decepticon in USA.

He was a friend of optimus, damn the lore Wonder how he became decepticon

Finally we get a cybertron-esque movie, even better its their origin story meaning this movie is going to be sad as hell when the brothers turn into archenemies

I love the friendship between prime and megatron. The fact that they’re emphasizing this and building them up towards their eventual rivalry is going to be epic… if that’s what’s the plan is for this new origins .

​@@markplott4820 there is no such thing as a single canon in transformers. It's been 40 years and they released dozens of different continuities with their own takes on the series. Orion Pax and Megatron weren't friends in g1 or other shows, sure, but they were bros in the aligned continuity before the war started.

@@k.guzhvin4952 - TF diverged in G1 after the movie , USA we got Season 3 - 4 , JAPAN got Transformers (Scramble City) and TF 2010. since TF is Animated in Japan w/ NELSON , I lean on the side that the Japanese SERIES is CANON , not USA. though Japan got Beast Wars later , but was Crappy in my opinion. Scramble City, Headmasters , Victory, Masterforce were all BETTER in my opinion.

@@markplott4820 true, I was mostly referring to cartoons such as japanese Robots in disguise from early 2000, the entire Unicron trilogy, animated, Prime, Cyberverse and comics (marvel, idw and Skybound) in my own comment. All of them are very different takes on the franchise after the end of the G1 era that changed parts of canon like lore and origins (and sometimes character's personalities), creating their own unique continuities.

This one is kinda different for me, in other franchises, D-16 or Megatron was a gladiator but in this one, he is a worker and used as a slave to mine energons, you can see how they've been treated in the first scenepack when a bot that looked identical to Soundwave grabbed both D-16 and Orion Pax and throw them to another room with B-127

Megatron was also a worker in idw comics before he turned into a gladiator.

This is like Thor's and Loki's origin story. But they are Robots.

Orion Pax is canon, not sure at all about the others If I recall Megatron was literally built to be a military bot, so I think they are retconning his origin to manufacture a deeper sense of betrayal in future continuity’s It seems a bit too happy for my liking, but I get it; it’s supposed to be a light action coming into their own story, so I hope it does well in that effort Wonder if Cullen will pop up in any capacity

This one actually shows something new on the big screens this time, finally telling the origins of Optimus and Megatron back when Cybertron was alive, instead of doing the 7th movie where the characters are searching for MacGuffin for god knows how many times (hello ROTB...). Not to mention, it's an animated film and not live action. Transformers cartoons were almost always superior to live action films in terms of narrative and characters.

😂 this so funny to watch right now, and can’t wait to watch it after it release 🤩👍

This is a younger Optimus Prime so the voice of Peter Cullen possibly won’t best fit this version of Prime. He’d probably be back to voice him later on tho if this becomes a series.

The next movie after Rise Of The Beasts in terms of reboot chronology will be a GI JOE crossover. They confirmed it. Transformers one is a standalone film.
