Cmon the plot was already revealed in the wizard of oz.. this is just about the witch, maybe we got a look on the wrong side and never really understood why the witch was evil?

​@@TheShadow7946 The movie is not set around the plot of the original Wizard of Oz. It clearly is supposed to be a deconstruction of the evil witch archetype. Something like an evil superman in the boys but the other way around.

Man, sometimes I forget the fact that some people have a light origin that leads to dark and some have dark that would lead to light in their own way and by any cost, we all keep forgetting the fact that heroes & villains aren’t born but just made into the person that society made them to be

The core audience for this movie has already seen the musical or read the book. Everyone knows The Wizard of Oz. Come on.

I thought Glinda was a redhead, not a blonde! If Glinda is a friendly witch, why was her grandmother's pointy hat black? The color of that pointy hat was the color of a wicked witch's hat. Were Glinda and Elphaba (AKA the wicked witch of the west) in the Emerald City when Elphaba put on the black pointy hat? I don't think so, because they weren't wearing the green glasses. Why didn't Dorothy take that train to the Emerald City like Elphaba and Glinda did? I thought the only way to the Emerald City was to follow a road paved with yellow bricks. What were the winged monkeys doing in the palace of Oz? Before the winged monkeys belonged to the wicked witch of the west; they used to be the rascals of the land of Oz and, after getting punished by a princess who lived in the land of the north, they were forced to obey anyone who wears a magic golden cap. I know that the wizard of Oz was just a common man pretending to be a wizard, but I thought the great big head he made to trick Dorothy was made out of paper, but that great big head in that trailer looked like it was made out of metal. Like I said, Oz had the great big head set up when Dorothy entered his presents, but what about the things he set up when the scarecrow, the tin man and the lion entered his presents? When the scarecrow entered Oz's presents, the wizard was a lovely lady with long curly hair, a crown of jewels on top of her head and a pair of wings on her shoulders. When the tin man entered Oz's presents, the wizard was a terrible beast that was nearly as big as an elephant and had the head of a rhino except with five eyes as well as five arms, five legs and course hair all over it's body and, when the lion entered Oz's presents, the wizard was a ball of fire. The people gathered around the burning statue of a witch couldn't have been the Munchkins; the Munchkins wore blue clothes and their houses were round with domes for rooves and painted blue, because blue was the color of the Munchkins.

This would've been a film to watch gad the producers, studio and director made the decision to cast two complete unknowns as the main characters of this story instead of Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. And why do we ALWAYS have to have a black actor up front and centre in EVERY SINGLE MOVIE & TV SERIES these days even when the orginal role or story source was inhabited by a white person?? As someone whose halk black I think this pandering to black audiences just for the sake of it is extremely patronizing!! It seems that the writers Hollywood think so little of black and other people of colour that they can't come up with any original characters for them these days so they just race-swap for the sake of making blacks feel included. When will this bastardization of movies end??!!!
