What most people strive most for in life is "happiness" and those things that they believe that will bring it... when in fact happiness is constantly fleeting... ebbing and flowing like a syncopating sine wave... ... one can never fully hold on to it. "Contentment" on the other hand has happiness as it's constant companion... I really appreciated that Dalai Lama quote... Thank you, Wess!~

As you know, it’s easy to tear a mans work apart . Doing better yourself is another matter. The problems I have foreseen-you have addressed as you have progressed. Your a good “ shoemaker “ . Each generation doesn’t produce many. I seldom meet a peer or see one on tv. You are better than at many things. And visa versa

Josh O Hernell thanks so much for following along and for the kind words. Yes, I’ve worked extensively in both aircraft and automotive fields as well as many other trades. So thankful for the skills and talents I’ve learned in this life.

Very cool lights. When you compared the 2, the old light was so clunky & outdated. LEDs really dress up a vehicle. Btw, love how you recessed that light bar up front on an earlier video.

I agree....They are brighter and look way better. I didn't want the big clunky light bar just hanging off the front of the bus...recessing it, helped it blend in a bit. Thanks for watching.

lol, I did the same on my bus! after adding the clearance lights I had to replace everything with leds so they would all look uniform. Your bus is going to be great!

lol......Yep, I hear ya. I'm replacing all the lights with LED's. I haven't made my mind up on the headlights though, I'll either use LED or projection. I hope it turns out great! :)

Where did you get the LED marker lights? Ever thought of an online affiliate page for all the things you used on your bus?

Is there a junk yard with old busses where you can get parts like windows, rub rails, doors, etc...

  • @wiredforstereo

Are the rub rails necessary? Can they be left off? If you've fully skinned the bus, are they needed structurally?

Lol....I'll have a project coming up fairly soon that I shot tons of footage on. It'll probably close, if not more than 10 mins.....I just hope people don't get bored watching something that is longer length.

I'm thinking about doing something similar with lights. do you know if you have to have them legally or could they be removed all together?

I'm not an expert of the regulations regarding this, but I'm going to put them back on for safety reasons. Here's a link to federal guidelines that I found that is very informative. www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/standards/conspicuity/TBMpstr.html

+Transcend Existence (MuddaEarth) As a longtime trucker, clearance lights are a must have even if they weren't required. In dark &/or foggy conditions, clearance lights tell the brain of anyone driving towards you that it's one large vehicle ahead. You might consider that hideous DOT reflector tape you see on commercial trucks. Next time you're sitting at a railroad crossing at night, notice the reflective tape on the trailers placed on the rail cars. It could save you from being T-boned. They make different colors of tape. You might find something that looks nice.

+Bryant Ford that's a very good point! in that case I'll definitely use lights.
