I can't even imagine. I'm embarrassed to open a pad in a women's bathroom. WHY DO THEY MAKE IT SOUND LIKE YOUR OPENING A HUGE BAG OF CHIPS.

As a cis woman, I personally won’t have a problem seeing a man grabbing pads off a shelf without having to call anyone. I like the idea of a man not being afraid to get pads for his girlfriend/sister/mom etc. In fact, I wish more men were like that.

that's happened to me before. Since I'm Pre-T but pass very well I have to use a pad. So I went to change my pad and there was this kid that sounded like he was 6 or 8 years old. So as I was doing my thing the kid said OUT LOUD "dad, who's eating chips in here". I freaked out and hide in the stool for 8 minutes while having a silent panic attack. Once I noticed that nobody was in the bathroom but me I quickly washed my hands and made a run for it. That is why I don't like public bathrooms.

If you pass as a guy and you're buying feminine hygiene products, we just assume you're a good boyfriend/husband/brother/father/son/baby-daddy buying them for your cis female significant other or family member, and you get serious good man secure-in-his-masculinity points if you know exactly which ones you're buying. But the need for people who pass as male to be able to dispose of feminine sanitary products is just one more reason why non-gendered toilets are a good thing. In our local city's new non-gendered toilet blocks, every cubicle has a sanitary disposal bin. They are also built as proper rooms with a real wall between each and the next, not just a partition of 20mm fibreboard, so there is a lot less sound transmission from one to the next! Non-gendered toilet blocks are safer and more efficient for cis folk too. We need to have these worldwide.

For me,there was a huge effect for about a year. Multiple issues. Every woman is different. For me,I got to keep my ovaries. When you keep them, they can either stop working completely, work for a while then quit, quit for a while then start, and everything in between. Seems for me,that after about a year, things got back to normal. Why do you ask?

Just an idea: companies like thinx should make boxer brief style period underwear, or other masculine styles. @I'MDEprEssEdaNDqUIrkY b r u h i get what you're saying but honestly I think you're wrong. Making shoes bigger would be harder for others to wear them. They'd be too slippy. If you stop feminizing hygiene products like pads or period underwear, it's not like women will suddenly be unable to use them. It inconveniences no one, and it's a respectful kindness to our afab (assigned female at birth) non-cis folk. Besides that, of all the people I know who have periods, a good chunk of them are not cisgender (the gender they were assigned at birth). I can name six nb's (non-binaries) who experience periods and three trans lads who do as well. And I know there are a whole lot more in the world around me too. Obviously I could just say that offhand, and you don't have to believe me, but I think you'll find that a lot bigger percentage of the population is LGBT+ than we thought. I wouldn't describe it as much a fad as a freedom of expression that a lot of people enjoy taking part in. It's just nice not to have to conform to the strictures put in place that say "*boy or girl*" or that you're not allowed to love who you love.

I remember when I first felt confident enough with myself to use the woman's washroom and saw the pad containers and was like "huh wonder what this-" and then suddenly my brain clicked and I was like "OOOOH." Also can I just say how self conscious I still am at peeing in a girl's stall? Like I've been sitting all my life when peeing so that's not an issue, but whenever I pee in a stall I'm like "what if they can tell that I have male genitalia by the sound of me peeing?" and every time I'm like "that's stupid, why would anyone think that?" But still, every single time I get that thought.

I'm a trans guy and I've actually had similar thoughts! I don't think there's much to worry about, though. If there's any difference in sound, I think it'd be the distance from the pee-er to the water - so standing vs sitting probably sounds slightly different. But people probably barely pay attention to stuff like that.

Frankly, the only people who could know the difference between the sound of guys and girls peeing would be a trans person. Most cis people have not spent enough time in both bathrooms to hear something that subtle. That's even assuming there is a difference. I'm cis and have never questioned if someone sounds feminine in the restroom

For those going through something similar, try a menstrual cup! There's no worrying about buying pads or tampons every month, and changing it is ultra-silent. In fact, the capacity is large enough/ it's safe to wear it in for longer periods that you likely would not have to change in public. Also great for the environment!

My advice get your self on the contraception implant as your period stops ive not had one for over 20 years and you just forget about it for 3 years then get it replaced, the other option is go on the contraception injection but you have to have that regularly but again it does stop your period, just thought id share that option with you 😊

They open and close with a popper so no awkward rustling sound, you wash them at home so no awkward buying them at the shop, and when I steal my partners boxers they work great with them :') you can also shimmy them forward or backward to get a good placement without them losing sticky! I’m just now seeing this video. Thanks so much for sharing such sensitive thoughts! I love when I can learn more about the things that others go through. It helps with perspective. It’s also wonderful that you have taken a slightly silly twist to the explanation to make it easier to digest for everyone whether they’re in a similar situation or just trying to understand others.

I'm glad I came across your channel because this was very enlightening for me. Forgive my ignorance but it never came to my mind that FTM individuals would still experience or experience menstruation (the majority of the videos I've seen primarily discussed packing and binding), but I'm happy that I'm now more educated on transgender experiences.

Not to mention, some trans guys either can't start T due to medical, financial, religious, social, and/or age-related reasons, or they just don't want to take hormones for whatever reasons. So they're stuck dealing with periods and stuff til menopause, just like most cis women. Thank you for trying to learn more about what being trans is like, btw! It feels so rare to see.

Doesn't need change that often, you empty it in the toilet, rince it with some water (fill a small bottle before, sounds like you pee) and reinsert. No problem of pads that move, no irritation, more comfortable than a tampon, last for years. I hated my period before, now I can deal my that
