No music!!! Thank God!!! May God bless you richly for not having music!!!
watching your videos is like meditation. seeing your creations fly is a pleasure. a little bit of silence and slowness in our loud and hectic world ❤
When I was (much) younger, we used to cut with a scapel, glue with white glue and cover with ‘Japanese paper’. Hours of work for a sometimes curious result. Lasers, 3D printers and mylar have revolutionised model making. But if you have a steady hand and a lot of practice, what seems easy to do is not! beautiful work, silence and perfect shot

Yep, gas powered noisy and smelly engines if you could afford it. For me it was mostly tow launched gliders and a two channel radio control that cost a fortune. More crashes than successful flights.
Beautiful! That's how we used to do it - except for the foam parts, all balsa & ply. I lost count of how many models I built in decades past, using this technique. The video brought it all ack. Thanks for that. And... well done, sir.

How did you made the V-form? It seems complicated to put it within the ribs.

Except for laser cut parts. So nice compared to cutting out by hand or “die crushed”
Pure art. Wonderful, thank you for this.
You know for sure how to design slow flyers too, the models I prefer. This kind of Fauvel profile is fascinating. Thanks for your channel!
That's excellent! A beautiful model and a very enjoyable video. I operate on a tiny budget, so still build planes the old-fashioned (i.e. cheap!) way; modern tech such as computer design software, laser-cutting and 3-D printing has really transformed the hobby - but in a GOOD way. I'd love to be able to produce laser-cut parts like you; the precision is amazing. That thin foam looks very good, too. I'll have to see if I can find some here in the UK, because the price of balsa wood is becoming ridiculous. Thanks for the video, and HAPPY LANDINGS. 🙂
You are the Man, dude your design's and builds just keep getting better and better. You may want to consider putting together some kits and selling them.
All in all you've had made me speechless !
I love to watch this video... This kind of build is my favorite... A right mix of tecnology and old stuff... Love it❤ Thank you for sharing
Технология у Вас в моделировании развивается! Как всегда хортшее видео, приятно смотреть!
Wow - model aircraft techniques have changed since I last built a kit. Circa 1973... !!

No kidding! I was drooling over that laser cutting setup! The last wood kit I built was decades ago.
Love your effort loved the covering thanks
Fantastic! Old school construction is being rediscovered because it is still the best combination for strength/cost vs. weight.

I disagree, foam is cheaper and easier to repair.
@dougj8186

@@finn_mcmissile I am also a fan of foam but you missed weight. No way can an E-power 2M foam wing weigh 224gm/8oz. That said, this wing is really only for ZERO wind and too light to be practical. Everything about an aircraft, big or small, is a compromise. When you say foam is "cheaper", compared to what? Depending on wing span foam cores from a CNC shop are $60 to $80 for literally $2 of foam. Most of the cost is setup time and shipping. If you're talking about a store-bought plane, the last one I bought was a Multiplex Fun Cub, now about $150 with no motor or electronics. Few kits of that size cost much less. I'm guessing the wing in the video can be built for about $60 total, $15 airframe and $45 motor and electronics.
Your design is awesome , as are the jigs and the tools you have created. Very clever and very thoughtful problem solving.
Very cool build!
Hightech at it's best, very contemplating!😊
Old school. Love it.
Building magic....so enjoyable to watch...😏🇬🇧
Excellent Work!
always come with a good video. you are the best
fun build, I always loved putting on the monocoat, they make a smaller iron for that its so much easier than a full sized one, got mine on ebay 20 years ago for like 5$
Amazing!
Beautiful. Planks are the best.

That is incredible to still see. I still build my park flyers with balsa wood and dope covering. It takes a long but very rewarding to build your own RC planes. I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed and liked.
Superb !!!

Absolut Genial ❤
Great video, it's so relaxing 👌
Thank you for no music.
Modeling anno 2024. Incredible!😊
Well Done build video - Thanks
It shows that this is not your first build. Impressive quality. 👌
what a sweet little floaty mouse. I still can't believe a straight wing plank can work but obviously it does.

Sometimes I wonder about aerodynamic theory, no need for the complex flying wing reflexed airfoil just a Clark y and it flies like a dream - you even made a flat piece of cardboard fly - You’re still my favourite YT model channel. Please do a PC12 please!!
@europaeuropa3673

A Clark Y would nose dive into the ground if the trailing edge were not reflexed. This has been known for almost 100 years.
Brilliant
I remember *_WAY_* back when I was in school, I once lent out a Book on DIY Topics that had one Project within it with plans for a Soaring Plane ( the classic design with an elongated Fuselage ) using a similar construction for the Wings ( and Fuselage ). Laser Cutters ( or CNC Machines ) were obviously not a thing back then ( at least not for regular ppl outside of the industry ) thus requiring a different approach to making things like the progressively tapered ribs like shaping them out of a condensed block of wood ( internal cavities and all ) using just two guides at the ends and then sawing the individual ribs out of the block using a bandsaw ( or perhaps stacking sheets of Balsa? ). Nowadays you just either Laser Cut, CNC Mill or 3D Print ( on much more affordable Equipment ) them out using your respective material of choice. Never once built such a plane despite its intrigue 🤣
Great job !! I can remember the times, when you do ALL these cuttings with a razor-blade and a sharp knife ! Boy o boy 😂

Beautiful video thank you, I am surprised that you didnt appear to need any reflex curve on the wing? Or perhaps that coud be acheived by make each elevon be set slightly "up" ?
Fantastic build. I have tried to cover balsa builds in the past, but the wing always warps. I’m jazzed to build again after seeing this.
stunning build. when will you post the plans?

Amazing build! I wonder how well it would fly if you covered the wings with C60 solar cells. Looks like you could probably get 24 or more of them on there at ~2-3W each.
Well done! What airfoil profile did you use for this?
have you tried to put a propeller inside a wing, like a ducted fan, but in blower fan style, one per wing on each side, total of two, yep large delta wings or square wings work better with internal large prop. possibly multiple smaller side-by-side wing-internal props would work too.
That is beautiful. And, the video is mesmerizing. 😊
Спасибо.

How the hell is that stable?!? Amazing
No symmetrical airfoil!? That’s impressive!

But it's still not a good airfoil for a flying wing. I'm sure the elevons are up more than they'd need to be with a good flying wing airfoil.

Прикольный самолетик. А стрингеры и лонжероны из чего? Фанера? Шпон? Бальза?
very cool
What setting did you use on the iron to shrink the plastic?
😻
What is the material of the film used to cover the wings and rudders? I don’t think it’s possible to make a wing much lighter.
I've been thinking of building a slow-flying plane that is all just wing. This is superb! Thanks for a very good video that shows every detail of the build. Just curious about one thing. Did you use a laser cutter to cut the parts? Did you use any software for the design of the wing shape?

The use of XPS foam to replace balsa parts is a great idea for keeping light weight. Is the XPS 3mm foam also cut via laser, or using other technique? Is awesome that XPS foam is available in multiple colors. Like the techniques and attention to detail in your custom design.
