that math equals a 22 degree split. they could use more flow over the coil by tossing that high merv filter in the trash and going to a 4. nice saving them a 100$ and installing best there is mars capacitor. would i have walked upstairs to get a vacuum with a brush attachment for the motor and A coil ? yeah i probably would have. Another in a long line of nice repairs.

@@ladykoh4678 You got those GM parts on any Corolla made by NUMMI in CA or even at the Toyota plant in Canada. Only way to avoid them was to find a Japan built Corolla. My 94 1.8 had a Delco alternator. Brought a dead one into the parts store (lifetime warranty, NOT the first replacement one either) and the guy looked at it and said "Buick?" The 1.6 got a good Denso alternator made in Japan though, even if built at NUMMI. You'd get the same GM part at the Toyota dealer if you had a US/CAN VIN. I had an 05 as well, built at the NUMMI plant, and GM (Delphi) made the ECU, improperly and not to Toyota's required specs to save a few cents per unit on the solder. They had to recall them all.

what you just witnessed is cavitation. meaning that dirty blower assembly went 7 times atmosphere and the forward curved vanes, separated from the center plate causing all that damage. if you had that much garbage on the motor I'll bet the secondary exchanger and possibly the evap coil are plugged as well. that's some pretty good lunch money.
