Ah! Now we have insight into why Thomas can't stand tender engines. They constantly argue about unimportant crap and never give him a moment's peace, while simultaneously thinking they're more important. So Thomas thinks he's justified in poking fun at them.

I don't think it's so much the shunting position itself, so much as the entitled, noisy, insecure engines he has to shunt for. They constantly bicker over pointless nonsense, yet they think he's beneath them purely because he's smaller. He knows they're complete idiots and doesn't think they deserve their express positions because they're not mature in the slightest. On a bad day, he's never given a moment's peace, so he feels justified in mocking them. Except Edward. Thomas hasn't opened up to him just yet, but it's clear that Edward is the only honest one who doesn't need a self-image.

The fact you've merged T&F and TRS elements into this story is great because it shows how great James works as a character being on Sodor at this time, even though he was probably there at the time in the TRS but that's another story. What I love about you including James is the section at 8:17. James has basically convinced himself earlier on that the Fat Controller might give him an opportunity to get out of the yard and maybe even give him his own branch line if he manages to get Henry out, and because of that he keeps pushing even when Topham gives the order to stop. You can hear the panicked desperation in his voice, because he's so tired of being stuck in the yard that he's clinging to the scraps of hope that if he keeps trying, things will improve for him. It's only when Topham literally shouts at him to stop that he actually does, suggesting that James would've ran himself literally to bits if it went he managed to get Henry out. Unlike Thomas, who has basically become so done with the world that he doesn't think he'll ever get out of the yard at this point, James still carries himself high and tries to show that he is as capable at pulling trains as the other big engines. He wanted to finally get his chance, and in his mind, he likely feels he blew it. While Thomas is cynical about the failed attempt and teases James, he doesn't get mad or even annoyed at Thomas. He just sadly says he doesn't want to talk. You can tell that he's crushed. He's always had plenty of confidence and hopes that that would get him where he wanted, but this time it failed him and could've literally torn him apart. And then what does he do when Topham calls for him again? *He asks if he should push again.* He keeps clinging to hope that if he keeps on proving himself useful, things will eventually get better for him. It's amazing how you've shown just the extent James will go to in the hopes of a better life, and he's not even the main focus.

Oh my god...this...this is fantastic! That subtle inclusion of Henry's piss-poor self-image and wanting to be as good as Gordon, only to lack something even HE knows at this point ins his life (he at least has SOME kind of standards, warped and prideful as they are) as the main motivator is brilliant! Honestly, for a moment I thought James AND Thomas working together would defy causality and fate and throw us into AU territory, but nerp, they utterly failed to move him...AND OH HOLY YOU'VE SET-UP WHY THOMAS WOULD CALL HENRY FAT THROUGH THIS! You seeds-sowing continuity referencing madlad! Hopefully Henry's driver didn't get fired after this. He did not deserve it. It also helps showcase that this is a RAILWAY; they have a responsibility to their passengers and Henry went and threw boiler sludge on all of it. Thus, comes the end, where in the most glorious of cutaways, Edward, looking like he's either done or: "What is going on?" brings IT, and thus, Gordon gets the last laugh in true Sudrian-karma fashion, laughing at Henry for his fuck-up of fuck-ups. Even better, this sets up a quiet, subtle link between this story and Trouble in the Shed's ending where the passengers accept the slower trains pulled by Thomas, Edward, and sixth ranger Percy because just like how here the tunnels have been blocked, thus undoubtedly slowing trains on the main line, the big engines (or well, big enginE, singular), is being taught a lesson. I have only one thing to point out: WE NEED MOVIE 3 ASAP to complete the trilogy of The Three Railway Engines! This is gold!

Everything about this is so good, Henry’s subtle insecurities, literally everything about James, Thomas and how he’s absolutely done with everyone’s bull, the voice acting, the character interactions. Keep up the good work
Oh my god...this...this is fantastic!

The Thomas and James banter was hilarious. Literally burst out laughing listening to this on the train. You characterize everyone perfectly!

This is brilliant, i just now discovered your channel and this is honest media comedy gold, especially in your most recent video keep up the amazing work.
Listened to the whole video in the background and Trampy spoke every 2 minutes talking about how I wasn't going to find anything. Well worth it at the end lol

I just start watching this series and I can say I absolutely love it. The story writing isThe voice acting is phenomenal, James at 6:14, 7:30 & 7:44 was was hilarious. I love how you also edit scenes to change the facial expressions like Gordon’s at 1:05 I can’t stop laughing at it. I know a few others had said this but I love how you merge elements from both T&F and RWS.
Smart having James and Thomas. Clever.
