What I have learned from this video, my friend, is if one of my remotes were to go bad, I would be in real trouble:) Also, I remember when phones were on a desk or mounted to a wall-as I believe you also can. What can be done with a phone, or even my Samsung tablet, never ceases to amaze me. As always, my friend, a well done and very interesting video.

Great tutorial much helpful.. one thing does the wand show vesc and motor temp and such info too when connected with flipsky vesc?

Hi mate. Thank you for the nice comment. Yes, all the information including motor temperatures is shown on the remote if used with Flipsky 6.6 plus. That is what i use and its all good.

Nice video Pavel. Wand and software look great and certainly on par with Metr +. I kind of fell out with Metr + after buying the Unity version that I could never get to work. I'll be staying away from them from now on as they basically just dumped me when it became obvious there was a fault with the module. Anyhow this all looks great cant wait to try mine and thanks for the video. Certainly be interested on the cruise control and if that's normal behaviour.

Simon, What esc do you have in your board? You do know that WAND will not work with unity right? I have contacted Trampa so will see about the cruise control … should test the wand in operation this week hopefully, Thank you for watching and commenting mate.

@@PavelGarmas Hi Pavel I'm on Unity on my Icarus build. The Trampa build will use the wand. Still haven't bought a VESC yet but definitely not going Unity again.Keep up the good work.

Thank you mate. What ecs are you getting for the Trampa built? Seems ike Flipsky does not work 100% and my cruise control might be out of action but I will try again this week.

Hi Pavel, the ESC is not genuine and I have no clue how well it is designed or if there is a hardware problem. CC should not spin up a wheel when engaged in neutral. Bench tests are no good indicator since the VESC is a current controlled ESC. You need the resistance to see how things work. The best way to test stuff is using a profile with very limited top speed and power. Use the VESC Tool App and ad a TEST Profile. 12Km/h forward and reverse top speed , 35% power. Go to a place where you can ride safely and test stuff out. New Hardware setups always want testing! Good and stable connection? Do things work as expected? Get used to the features and handling before going for more power and speed.

Frank, Thank you for the reply. Flipsky 6.6 plus do claim to be vesc based unit of a high quality... we will see. I will test the board and the wand this week and will video it all. Is there anything I can do to try and fix the CC issue? Thank you.

@@PavelGarmas Install letest VESC-Tool and Firmare, do the Wizards and hope it works for you. You can experiment with the threshold setting in the APP config. Maybe try 18%

@@PavelGarmas Please wait till FW 3.62! 3.61 has a problem with the reverse and Cruise Control. Or use FW 3.60 (Vesc Tool 1.18)

Good tip! Maybe this is why I had the issue with the cruise control.... I think the VESC tool for PC that I did upload is 1.18 but I did upload whatever the vesc app offered already. Can I re-upload the 1.18 back on some how?

Hey Pavel, I too have a Flipsky FSESC6.6. I can not calibrate my VX2 remote through the VESC tool like everyone else who has the VX2. I would like to purchase The Wand. Can you confirm you can toggle the control mode (Current, Current no reverse, Duty Cycle...etc) and also set throttle curves in the VESC tool with your WAND/FSESC setup?

Hi mate, VX2 remote does not need any set up in vesc tool. You just calibrate the remote in the remote menu. Yes, you can adjust all the parameters on the wand using the vesc tool. Are you on my Facebook group esk8freedom? Join!

The nrf use 3.3v?

@@jagerhimself9491 hi mate, there are a few reports that people had issues with disconnects in the community however i did never have any problems. Maybe i am lucky :)

Not that I know of.... firmware will be updated soon and new options introduced so could be.

That Cruise control behaviour is not correct Pavel. It shouldnt spin all the way up like that. Try accelerating to a certain speed then activating CC, if it spins up all the way like that it's not right

Lee, mine does something similar even on double VESC6 set-up. Master VESC keeps a constant given RPM in CC, while the slave just speeds up to max rpm. It’s also present when giving normal pitch. And it does seem to affect the efficiency quite a lot, since the slave is not really adding any amperage to all those volts it puts into the motor. It results in the master motor taking a fairly bigger load than the slave in most cases. Unless going full power, and an equal amount of V/Amps goes into each motor. So master basically runs awesome, whereas the slave runs the same as with the old Maytech controller.

@@mathiashellere8907 I can see that you did ask Lee but I will answer. Little bird told me that the latest FW has some negative effects on the wand. Re flush with 1.18 on vesc tool PC and it should fix it. I am going to do the same tomorrow :)
