Filmed on 29/03/2023. So, as all holiday goes this is the final day of our exciting London holiday. This is a rather short but sweet day along the Great Western Mainline as we venture to two stations. The first station being the gateway for one of the shortest branch lines along the Great Western and for Windsor. This is Slough (Season 10 Episode 33)
The ever frequent Elizabeth Line service worked by the Derby built class 345 units which runs every 15 minutes between Slough to Abbey Wood via Paddington and Central London. With frequent connections for Shenfield and the every 15 minutes service but every 30 minutes to and from Reading.
Alongside the Elizabeth Line which serves Slough, Great Western Railway also uses this station for their frequent services between London Paddington to Oxford/Didcot Parkway. Great Western Railway also operates a short shuttle services between Slough to Windsor & Eton Central worked by the Thames Turbo class 165's. Which were built at York and also uses the same Perkins engines as found in majority of the class 158's.
