shame this has so little views. Hope you get more. I do Jiu-Jitsu myself but I find the throws in Judo so fascinating. I started at 29. Good luck on your journey

I train Judo 3x a week. 1 fundamentals class a week and 2 classes with randori a week. Sometimes is 2 fundamentals and 1 class with Randori. I do study and some solo uchi komi a little everyday. I train BJJ (now) 3-4 classes a week. I have less volume now at the age 36 and vary intensity. Because I also work as a instructor. The goal is longevity and lifestyle. Competition matters to me as well.

Agree. You need other activities for life as well. I attend a yoga class with my partner, go to a park and walk/jog, or just study (read a book, study a course). Volume is for cadets, younger people. Too much intense training once you pass 30 is not good for your adrenals, and "mind". Got to balance the intensity, volume, and most importantly work/LIFE.

It's normal, it'll pass, once your muscles get stronger and use to the movements involved in Judo. Congrats on starting to training! Osu!

I do Judo 2 times a week (Mon, Wed) and MMA in the 2 days between, and I have to say Judo is actually harder than MMA, because first you have those old school japanese warmups on the mat, and after that is technique training, then randori standing, randori ground.. you use so much more of your body, and in MMA we are practicing mostly just striking. But I love them both and its been great fun so far.. Its safe to say ive gotten in good shape quickly thanks to this:D
