I can understand many people's dislikes for Pacers but they were perfect when travelling up in the hills and mountains of places like Wales. The windows were so big with small window frames that they were almost like observation cars. And with the seat backs being low, you could see everything. 3. 2. 1... Her come the "Pacer Haters" Hahahaha :)

Agreed, loved the low back seating and the brightness, they were a bit of roughing it but loved em.

All nostalgic over the gm orange pacer, reminds me of when the Bury 504s were repainted.

Who would of thought a Pacer would ever work a rail tour when they have been slated since day one 🤔

The train going to Coatbridge would that have a Coatbridge driver, or would they change at Carlisle?

Sadly at Crewe we don’t we usually use a 66 or a 90. When I finally get to Trafford park they do and yes I have used and signed them in the past and if I can get a few minutes I will film the cab of one

I presume the Pacer is at some stage of being preserved on a heritage line?

Can anyone tell me Why it’s now 2 class 90 s Instead of 1 ? For a while now Also why do they not double class 66 s ? Surely 1 class 66 vs 2 class 90 from say crewe to Felixstowe is much slower ? and must seem underpowered by comparison ?

Measures the wires tension and confirms it’s all calibrated correctly for pantographs to operate safely
